We’ve made some changes in The High Point Enterprise
We’ve made some changes in The High Point Enterprise:
You will no longer find a “Local” section in the paper.
Local is what we do best here at The Enterprise. We decided that news about our community, news that readers can’t get anywhere else, should be presented before state, national and world news.
It’s news about you and your community. We’ve moved that up.
We’ll still offer state, national and world news after the local news in our “A” section.
Published for …. You!
Each day, we will publish our paper for one of our subscribers by name and all of our readers for 129 years. Find today’s dedication under The High Point Enterprise masthead on the front page.
Also on the front page, check out the weather forecast and you’ll see a picture by a local student.
We invite students to send in those drawings to share with our readers. Send us a picture that tells our readers to expect sunshine, rain, clouds, snow, mixed or anything else we can get in the Triad. We’ll match up the pictures with our forecast. Attach to an email, firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to Megan Ward, High Point Enterprise 210 Church Ave. High Point, NC 27262. Be sure to include the artist’s name, grade and school.
A spiritual addition
We invited local faith leaders to write columns for our readers. Each chooses the topic and shares what they feel will inform and inspire readers about spirituality. Look for those on our Faith page on Saturdays.
We have a new page that we will publish every Wednesday called Student Scrapbook. This picture page will show images captured by our photographers, Sonny Hedgecock and Don Davis, highlighting what and how students are learning in our schools.
Every Sunday, you’ll find a parenting column by a North Carolina family psychologist John Rosemond. Rosemond has authored 14 parenting books in addition to his nationally syndicated column. He’s known for his old-fashioned parenting philosophy and approach.
We love to hear from you
