YOUR VIEW: Put yourselves in Gen. McChrystal’s shoes
All of us should put ourselves in the general’s shoes. McChrystal has had to deal with a president who is unqualified for the job, and who has no understanding of how to fight or win a conflict. McChrystal had to plead for troops which Obama ignored for several months and give-in to a man who flies by his coattail in making decisions. Or are these decisions really based on downgrading the military to a point of destroying America, which he hates?
Unfortunately, we have no more commanders like Patton and Mac-Arthur who would stand their ground with the president. I have yet to see any of the Joint Chiefs of Staff stand up to Obama when necessary.
If Obama would allow our military leaders to do the job they are trained to do, fight to win as they did in World War II, we would soon be out of Iraq and Afghanistan. We would once again show strength to the world that says “don’t mess with the U.S.A.,” which would keep us safe.
I pray all Americans in November 2010 and 2012 will vote for godly candidates who will have the courage and strength to reverse all the disastrous decisions made by Nancy, Harry and Barry.
God bless Gen. McChrystal, and God bless America.

The world’s religions are not all the same
It think it’s about time that we have a reality check on the religions of the world. We are being told by the “New Agers” and the “Queen of Pop” that all religions have the same destination – Heaven.
I might say except one, and that is the way of Christ who said in John 14:6 – “I am the way, the truth and the life, and no man cometh to the Father but by me.”
Jesus said in John 3:3 – “except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” There are only two ways that we can travel in this world. One is the “Broadway,” that is the one we were born on and except we get off that road, we will end up in “Hell.” But Christ has made a way to “Heaven” by His sacrifice of Himself for the sins of all who will accept it (John 3:16).
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the rudiments of the world. And not after Christ (Colossians 2:8).
We are living in momentous times. Be ready for His coming!

Did the High Point Community Foundation make the correct move in giving $425,000 to the N.C. Since there was no evidence for the claim whatsoever, Mike felt in his gut that it was true and supported her lying.
Just complaining about who quoted him implies that you're ignorant of the matter.
In addition to Revots citation of the UCMJ, there is also this from the New York Times:
"Mr. Gates said that the statements attributed in the article to General McChrystal and his inner circle of aides “are unacceptable under our form of government and are inconsistent with the high standards expected of military leaders.”
"For his part, Admiral Mullen spoke of the pre-eminence of civilian control of the military.
“We do not have the right, nor should we ever assume the prerogative, to cast doubt upon the ability or mock the motives of our civilian leaders, elected or appointed,” Admiral Mullen said. “We are and must remain a neutral instrument of the state, accountable to and respectful of those leaders, no matter which party holds sway or which person holds a given office.”
"In the hours after the article surfaced in public, Mr. Gates and Admiral Mullen discussed it with General McChrystal. “In my meeting with him, he didn’t try to explain it,” Mr. Gates said on Thursday. “He just acknowledged that he had made a terrible decision.”" - Thom Shanker, New York Times, June 24, 2010

McChrystal was one hundred percent wrong in what he did, and he was particularly egregious to do it during wartime. No matter who the president was in office at this time, there was no choice but to fire him. He should actually be facing court martial, but Obama is clearly allowing him to leave with some dignity.
Obama, in this case, deserves your admiration, not your animosity.

Fran Rafanovic says the President does not have the knowledge to be commander of the armed forces. Well, he knows more about it than she does. In addition, McChrystal did this crap three times so he was given more chances than he deserved. Please find out the facts before you speak and do not be another Mikie and his LOL stupidity
So, yet again Hughes is clueless. The reason we were losing this war is because Mike's hero - G.W. Bush - started this war in Afghanistan and then abandoned it in favor of a war of choice in Iraq.
Mike has also been corrected on the amount of time President Obama took to make his decision on the size of the troop increase numerous times, but he heard someone on FAUX spout the same talking point, so he's sticking with it. There was no need to rush the decision. Due to logistics the troop's would not be able to start arriving until a certain date regardless of when the decision was made.
No one @ Rolling Stone did a 'hatchet job'. The entire interview was taped. McChrystal nor any of his aides have denied one word in the Rolling Stone article.
Nice job of trying to look tough Michael-"...better be looking over his shoulder. If I was McChrystal, there would be payback." - I have no doubt that if you were to get some 'payback' it would be an attack from behind because that's what cowards do, and without a doubt Mike Hughes is a coward.
That idiot liberal at Rolling Stone who did the hatchet job better be looking over his shoulder. If I was McChrystal, there would be payback.
Article 88 of the UCMJ states that any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the president, the vice president, Congress or the secretary of defense shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
...just ask MacArthur about that one Fran.
Also from the DOD;
"Civilian control of the military is so ingrained in America that we hardly give it a second thought. Most Americans don't realize how special this relationship is and how it has contributed to the country.
The framers of the U.S. Constitution worked to ensure the military would be under civilian control. They did not want to emulate the European experience. The colonies had just fought a war for freedom from Britain. The king controlled the British military, and the framers had no interest in duplicating that system.
When they wrote the Constitution they separated the responsibilities for the military, placing the responsibilities firmly in civilian hands.
Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution states that Congress shall have the power "to raise and support Armies …" and "to provide and maintain a Navy." In addition, Congress must provide for the state militias when they are called to federal service.
Article II, Section 2 states, "The President shall be the Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States when called into the actual Service of the United States.""

"fight to win as they did in World War II,..." This war is nothig like WWII. Two words for ya Fran - Counterinsurgency Strategy - Which BTW, is/was McChrystal's strategy.
"Or are these decisions really based on downgrading the military to a point of destroying America, which he hates?" This is what tipped your hand Fran. Anyone who really believes nonsense like 'Obama hates America' is not to be taken seriously. I'm sure you also believe in 'Death Panels' and you also subscribe to the 'Birthers' wacky conspiracy theories.
I also just love the way you end your hateful, lie filled letter with a call to god. How 'christian' of you.
