Terri Elizabeth Green

HIGH POINT – Ms. Terri Elizabeth Green, 56, died Monday, May 17, 2010, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Ms. Green was born May 8, 1954, in Gaffney, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Bobbie William Green Sr., and Minnie L. Green. A lifelong resident of High Point, she was a graduate of High Point Central High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Services from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro. She recently retired from the North Carolina A&T Cooperative Extension Service, Guilford County office, after more than 30 years of service.

She dedicated her life to Christ at a young age and did the work of an Evangelist. Doing whatever her hands found to do in the house of God, she always spoke and taught the word of God, letting people know that God’s way is the best way. She also enjoyed doing small home improvement projects, which gave her a fascination with lights. A statement she stressed was, “Every man for himself”, meaning this is your life and you have to make it with God for yourself.

Survivors include four brothers, Rev. Bobby Green, Jr., James (Cynthia) Green, and David Green, all of High Point, and Stephen (Patricia) Green of Clarksville, Tennessee; two sisters, Brenda (Rev. Jerry) Pratt, and Patricia Dickey, both of High Point; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 5710 Riverdale Dr., Jamestown, with Rev. Jerry Pratt Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence of Rev. and Mrs. Jerry (Brenda) Pratt, 616 Runyon Dr.
