HIGH POINT CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 5, BURLINGTON CHRISTIAN 4
HIGH POINT — High Point Christian Academy slipped past Burlington Christian Academy for a 5-4 win on Tuesday.
David Leonard, Corbin Carroll, Zach Davis and Austin Cobb won in singles for the Cougars. Leonard/Carroll prevailed in doubles.

REAGAN 5, SOUTHWEST GUILFORD 4
PFAFFTOWN — Reagan netted a 5-4 win over Southwest Guilford on Tuesday.
In singles, the Cowboys (4-3) got wins from Austin Lynk, Danny Gillespie and Steven Michel.
In doubles, Southwest’s win came from Brian Jobe/Michel.
Reagan improved to 5-0.

BASEBALL

SOUTH STOKES 6, BISHOP 4
KERNERSVILLE — South Stokes nipped Bishop McGuinness 6-4 on Tuesday.
Nick Efird went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Villains (3-4, 0-3 Northwest 1A/2A). Stuart Spiers (1-2) pitched 6 2/3 innings for Bishop, striking out five. He also went 1-for-2 with a run.
Bishop plays host to Gosepl Light on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

GOLF

AT GREENSBORO CC FARM COURSE
GREENSBORO — Caldwell Academy edged High Point Christian Academy 163-167 on Tuesday at Greensboro Country Club’s Farm Course.
Kevin Carlock of Caldwell was medalist at even-par 35.
For the Cougars, Adam Quate shot 38, Ryan Scott carded 40, Justin Lewis shot 44 and Jonathan Segers had a 45.
HPCA plays host to Covenant Day on Monday at 2 p.m. at The Meadowlands.

BISHOP PREVAILS IN EXHIBITION MATCH
Bishop McGuinness won Tuesday’s Conference Exhibition Match vs. South Stokes at Pine Knolls Golf Club.
The Villains won 153-174 over the par-36 layout.

BISHOP GIRLS 13, REAGAN 12
KERNERSVILLE — Megan Shortt scored eight goals and Adaire Hudson added four as Bishop McGuinness’ girls edged Reagan 13-12 on Tuesday.
Tiffany Nguyen netted a goal for the Villains, who got 16 saves from Adora Nsonwu.

GREENSBORO DAY BOYS 9, BISHOP 8
KERNERSVILLE — Greensboro Day School netted a 9-8 victory over Bishop McGuinness late Monday.
Patrick Willard scored three goals for the Villains, while Cameron Bradford and Tom Valle added two goals each and Max Leftwich had one.
Sean Hammacher and Riley Brannan dished two assists each for Bishop, while Rhys Murdock and Leftwich had one each.
Jake Anderholm (four saves) and Riley Furr (three saves) split time in goal for Bishop.

BASKETBALL

LEDFORD’S THOMAS, RALLS EARN TOP MPC 3A HONORS
WALLBURG — Ledford’s Emmalee Thomas earned Mid-Piedmont 3A Conference girls player of the year accolades, while John Ralls of the Panthers was named girls coach of the year.
Courtney Callicutt, Brie Grier and Leigh Anne Midkiff also earned girls all-conference honors from Ledford.
Skyler McGee of Ledford made the boys all-conference team.
