This weekend: Mid-Atlantic Shootout, Saturday and Sunday

Saturday

35-lap Mid-Atlantic Invitational for late models, plus events for Southern Modified Lite, Hornet, U-Car, NASCAR Mini-Stock and Street Stock. Qualifying at 4 p.m., first race at 5 p.m.

Sunday

150-lap Late Model feature that is final points race of the season, plus 50-lap Limited Late Model, 50-lap Late Model Truck and 25-lap Legends Cars. First race at 2:30.

Late Model points: Ryan Wilson is 10 ahead of Dan Moore and must no more than four positions behind Moore to win the championship. They are the only drivers in contention.

Limited Late Model points: Paul Wark, a former High Point resident, is six points ahead of High Point resident Carl Auman and will win the championship by finishing no more than two positions behind Auman. No other drivers are in contention.

Other points races that end this weekend: Jimmy Wallace has clinched the Southern Modified Lite title. Jason Tutterow clinches the Mini-Stock championship by starting.

Other points: Brandin Wrisley is two ahead of Jimmy Wallace in Late Model Truck division. Andrew Lain is 34 in front of Chuck Isom in Street Stock. Austin Osborne is 42 ahead of Jan Ingram in Legends. Johnny Warr leads Brian Melville by 18 in U-Car, and Justin Smith is 56 in front of Daniel Hughes in the Hornet division.
