HP Central boys shock East Forsyth in triple overtime

HP CENTRAL BOYS 72, EAST FORSYTH 68
HIGH POINT — Juwan Foggie scored 20 points and 10 rebounds as sixth-seeded High Point Central shocked second-seeded East Forsyth 72-68 in triple overtime in the Piedmont Triad 4A Conference semifinals at Southwest Guilford on Wednesday night.
Kevin Green added 13 points for the Bison (12-14), who advance to Friday night’s title game against top-seeded and undefeated Southwest Guilford. That game will be played at Southwest Guilford.
Germaine Pratt tallied 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Bison. Jamal Thompson finished with 10 points and six boards for Central.

SW GUILFORD BOYS 77, GLENN 64
HIGH POINT — Top-seeded and undefeated Southwest Guilford’s boys topped fifth-seeded Glenn 77-64 in a PTC 4A semifinal on Wednesday night.
The Cowboys (25-0) advance to Friday’s 7:30 p.m. title game against HP Central at Southwest Guilford.
Terrell Leach led Southwest with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Ben Ferguson added 14 points and five boards and Andrew Bullock notched 13 points, two rebounds, two steals and two assists. D.J. Chamblee tallied 10 points, six rebounds and two steals.
Daquan Clemmons led the Bobcats (9-17) with 14 points.
Southwest used a 27-14 second quarter to lead 38-27 at halftime. The Cowboys padded the cushion with a 21-16 third period.

WINSTON-SALEM PREP 75, BISHOP 66
Coye Simmons scored 20 points as Winston-Salem Prep’s boys defeated Bishop McGuinness 75-66 in the Northwest 1A/2A Tournament semifinals on Wednesday night.
Prep improved to 25-1. Bishop fell to 14-11. Kevin Weckworth led the Villains with 17 points, while Nick Efird added 12 and Tommy Koesters had 10.

EAST DAVIDSON GIRLS 66, WEST DAVIDSON 49
THOMASVILLE – Third-seeded East Davidson stopped sixth-seeded West Davidson 66-49 in the first round of the Central Carolina 2A Conference tournament on Tuesday.
Bayley Plummer led East with 19 with Madi Hallman adding 14.

RANDLEMAN GIRLS 51, WHEATMORE 47
WINSTON-SALEM — Randleman bounced Wheatmore’s girls from the PAC-6 2A Tournament on Tuesday night at Atkins High School.

THOMASVILLE WRESTLERS SEEDED FOR REGIONALS
MONROE — Four Thomasville wrestlers earned top seeds for the NCHSAA 2A regionals on Friday and Saturday at Monroe Piedmont High School.
Q Martin was seeded first at 106 pounds, while Jason Boutsady was top seed at 113, Corbin Wilson was top seed at 132 and Aaron Reeves was No. 1 seed at 170.
The Bulldogs No. 2 seeds were Assan Butt at 120, Louis Dupree at 126 and Keith Clemons at 195. Thomasvlle’s 3 seeds were Bret Hokenson at 138, Luke Williams at 145, and Evan Makepson at 160. The Bulldogs’ Gabe Brockett was seeded fourth at 182.
