Five area senior athletes are slated to represent their schools one last time this week in the annual N.C. Coaches Association East-West All-Star Games in Greensboro and High Point.

Southwest Guilford’s Terrell Leach (boys basketball), Danny Gillespie and Seth Harrison (boys soccer), T.W. Andrews’ James Rogers (football) and Southern Guilford’s Kemar Bachelor (football) have been selected.
The girls and boys basketball games will be Monday at the Greensboro Coliseum; the girls and boys soccer games will be Tuesday at UNC Greensboro; and the football game will be Wednesday at Simeon Stadium.
The girls basketball and soccer games will be at 6:30 p.m., followed by the boys games at 8:30. The football game — which is usually in Greensboro’s Jamieson Stadium but has been moved because of construction — will be at 8 p.m. There will be fireworks at halftime of the football game.
Leach was one of the area’s top players this past season, averaging 30 points and scoring 35 points or more in six games — including a 54-point performance in the Sheetz holiday tournament.
Leach, a guard who was the Piedmont Triad 4A Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore but suffered a knee injury as a junior, was selected to The AP All-State team following the season, in which the Cowboys went 27-1.
Gillespie, twice an All-PTC 4A performer, and Harrison, the PTC Offensive Player of the Year as a junior, were key pieces in helping Southwest Guilford take second in the conference and finish 14-4-1 overall in the fall.
Rogers was a standout defensive lineman this past season, earning PAC-6 2A  Defensive Player of the Year, as the Red Raiders went 11-2, won the conference title and reached the third round of the state playoffs.
Bachelor, an offensive lineman, helped the Storm run for over 4,500 yards this past season, in which they won the Mid-Piedmont 3A Conference title outright (their second straight season winning at least a share).
Bachelor also earned All-MPC for the third time in his career and CarolinaPreps.com 3A All-State.
