The first game of weekend series between the High Point University baseball team and Bowling Green  University has been postponed due to inclement weather in the area. The teams will play a doubleheader Saturday.

The Panthers and Falcons will play the first game at Williard Stadium Saturday at 1 p.m. Game 2 will follow. The teams will wrap up the three-game series on Sunday at 1 p.m.
High Point is 8-5 this season after picking up a 2-1 win in 12 innings over Elon on Wednesday. Freshman Josh Greene drove in junior Tony Fortier-Bensen for both Panther runs in the game. HPU pitchers held Elon to just two hits over 12 innings while striking out 13 Phoenix batters.

HIGH POINT — The High Point University men’s lacrosse team returns to Atlantic Sun play Saturday against VMI. The Keydets come to Vert Stadium for a 1 p.m. start. The Panthers have won four games in a row.
The Panthers are 4-2 on the season, including a 1-0 mark in league play with a win over preseason-favorite Jacksonville last Saturday. The Panthers picked up their fourth straight win with a come-from-behind victory over Michigan on Wednesday. The Panthers have already passed their win total from a season ago.
VMI enters the game with a 1-5 record.
