Central handles Andrews in soccer
Bryce Spesock scored twice while Carlos Murillo scored once and assisted once in helping lift High Point Central past T.W. Andrews 9-1 on Tuesday at the High Point Athletic Complex.
Ricardo Del Real, Scott Poston, Ryan Eskew, Campbell Locke, Eric Orcutt and Clayton Howell also scored for the Bison (6-1), who led 5-1 at halftime. Evans Garzon, Ryan Greene, Sebastian Haja and Sam Fernandez tallied assists.
Parker Ford made three saves in goal for Central.
Donnison Dezantil scored the lone goal for the Red Raiders, who will host the Bison at the Complex on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

DAVIDSON — Kirby Robbins scored two goals, and William Guffey and Andrew Moebius had one each as Wesleyan Christian blanked Davidson Day in a PACIS 3A match on Tuesday.
Wesleyan improves to 11-0 and 2-0 in the league.

GREENSBORO — Caldwell scored a goal in each half and held off Westchester Country Day 2-0 on Tuesday.
Westchester plays host to American Hebrew Academy on Thursday at 4 p.m.

JAMESTOWN — Mount Tabor topped host Ragsdale 4-0 on Tuesday.
Daniel Kanakanui made 10 saves for the Tigers (3-3-1), who play again Thursday at home against Northeast Guilford.

DAVIDSON — Wesleyan Christian opened PACIS 3A play Tuesday with a three-game sweep of Davidson Day. Game scores were 25-20, 25-17, 25-20.
Leaders for the Trojans (5-2) included Amanda Connette (8 digs, 7 kills, 3 aces) and Taylor Pietrantozzi (15 digs, 6 aces).
Wesleyan goes to High Point Christian on Friday.

HIGH POINT — East Forsyth outlasted High Point central 25-12, 21-25, 25-16, 20-25, 15-10 in a hard-fought match that was the Piedmont Triad 4A opener for the Bison on Tuesday.
Leaders for Central (4-5) were Sadie Weston (11 kills, 10 digs), Charlotte Cain (18 digs), Hayden Harris (30 assists, 8 kills).
TRINITY DEF. E. RANDOLPH
TRINITY — Trinity edged visiting Eastern Randolph in five sets, 25-20, 16-25, 25-22, 20-25, 15-7, on Tuesday.
Michaela Watkins had 24 service points, seven aces, five blocks and five kills for the Bulldogs (7-2). Kaitlyn Green added 10 service points and one aces, while Casey Davis had two blocks and 13 kills.
In the JV match, Trinity won 25-19, 25-22 to improve to 9-0. Katie Jackson had eight service points, while Michael Ann Holt and Zoie Teague both had six service points.
W. DAVIDSON DEF. THOMASVILLE
THOMASVILLE — Thomasville fell to visiting West Davidson 23-25, 25-11, 25-18, 25-17 on Tuesday.
Alexus Nelson scored 15 service points and provided great setting for the Bulldogs, while Shakemia Matthews had 11 service points and two blocks.
Lisa Burgess also had nine service points and great all-around play, while Christina Coleman (14 service points, four kills) and Kaylaq Johnson (strong back-row play) also played well.
In the JV match, Thomasville won 25-11, 25-21. Kaitlyn Johnson had 14 service points and four aces, while Aiyonna Hill had 11 service points and four aces. Michaela Williams added seven service points, two aces and a kill, while Sade Bulter (two blocks, one kill) and Kayla Johnson (seven service points, one aces, one kill) also contributed well.
SW GUILFORD DEF. GLENN
WINSTON-SALEM — Southwest Guilford outlasted host Glenn 19-25, 25-13, 25-23, 30-28 on Tuesday.
Jordan Richmond had 10 kills to lead the Cowgirls, while Bri Burgins followed with nine kills and Abigayle Gardner added 17 service points.
Southwest plays again Thursday at home against Ragsdale.
WHEATMORE DEF. RANDLEMAN
RANDLEMAN — Wheatmore improved to 7-0 with a 25-8, 25-22, 25-11 win against host Randleman on Tuesday.
Georgia Garrison had 15 kills and five digs, while Kathryn Johnson added nine kills, five blocks and five digs. Casey Hawkins also had 12 digs, while Davey Albertston had six kills, and Kelly Davis had 27 assists.
The Warriors host Trinity on Thursday.

SALISBURY — Salisbury pulled away to beat visiting East Davidson 23-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-17 on Tuesday.
Taylor Moretz had 11 kills and four blocks for the Golden Eagles (1-7, 0-1 Central Carolina 2A), while Taylor McPhatter had nine kills and three blocks, and Madison Gibson had seven kills and three blocks.
East plays again Thursday at home against Thomasville.

WINSTON-SALEM — Bishop McGuinness swept Winston-Salem Prep on Tuesday in remaining unbeaten after six matches overall and five in the Northwest 1A,
Morgan Auger, Adaire Hudson, Anna Petrangeli, Nicole Saia, Lauren Andrysick and Kristen Bellas won singles matches for the Villains. Melanie Vynalek/Saia, Caitlin Murphy/Candyce Sturgeon and Natalie Lassiter/Rebecca Lassiter were the doubles winners.

GREENSBORO — Westchester got a singles win from Erica Sawyer and a doubles win from Catherine York and Avery Keefe in a 7-2 loss to Caldwell Academy on Tuesday.

HIGH POINT — Southwest Guilford, despite losing all six singles matches, swept doubles in falling 6-3 on Tuesday against visiting R.J. Reynolds.
Erin Shelton-Maggie Jermyn, Catherine Jobe-Hannah Mills and Sophia Nagy-Carley Bullman won for the Cowgirls (4-6).
Southwest plays again Wednesday at Northwest Guilford.

CARY — Wesleyan Christian shot a 142 and posted a 14-shot victory over Cary Academy on Tuesday.
Cecily Overbey carded a 35 to lead the Trojans. Erica Hamilton added a 47 and Erika Peck had a 60 for the Trojans.
