The High Point Enterprise High Five prep football poll remained fairly stable after an eventful fifth week of the prep football campaign.

High Point Central suffered its first loss of the season, falling 14-13 to West Forsyth at Simeon Stadium on Friday night. The Bison (4-1) stayed No. 1 with all three first-place votes, boosted by their 27-7 season-opening victory over second-place T.W. Andrews.
The Red Raiders ran their record to 3-1 with a 61-6 road trampling of Bartlett Yancey on Friday night. Andrews collected all three second-place votes for 12 points.
Ledford, which was idle last week, held third place with nine points. The Panthers stand 3-1 on the year.
East Davidson (4-1) kept its grip on fourth place with five points following Friday’s 37-0 romp past Wheatmore.
Bishop McGuinness joined the rankings in fifth place with four points. The Villains upped their record to 4-1 with a 56-35 triumph at South Stokes.
Trinity (3-2) moved out of the survey following a 14-0 loss to West Davidson.
Only five teams earned votes in this week’s ratings.
All five ranked teams are in action on Friday night.
Central travels to Page, while Andrews plays host to North Surry, Ledford entertains Western Guilford, East Davidson welcomes Trinity and Bishop is home for Eastern Randolph.
Also Friday, it’s Southwest Guilford at Southeast Guilford, Wheatmore at West Davidson, East Chapel Hill at Ragsdale, North Forsyth at Southern Guilford and Randleman at Thomasville.
High Point Christian Academy and Glenn enjoy open dates.
