Your View: Just wondering: Is DNA test self-incrimination?

Nov. 19, 2013 @ 07:16 PM

Think about it — if a person claims residency in more than one state, can that person vote in a national election in each state?
Is forced DNA testing, finger-printing and blood testing taking away from our Fifth Amendment rights of not witnessing against one’s self?
Obamacare should be a wake-up call to all politicians — read it before you sign it. Then you wouldn’t be going through all this male cow dung to repeal it. For those who are politicians, there is some ocean-front property in Death Valley for you.

“Facts” on global warming are questionable
In response to “Your View” Sept. 7 by Judy Cranford:  “We must combat anti-environment legislation; the Congressional House … cut the EPA budget by 34 percent.” It should have been cut twice that; the EPA has been deceiving the public since 1998, claiming global warming (climate change) is caused by man’s continuous use of fossil fuels. Climate change is seasonal, happening four times per year, just as the Lord purposed (Gen. 8:22).
In response to “Creationist with an iPhone paradox” by Tina Dupuy: “Scientists believe humans are the cause of global warming ... it’s happening right now. An Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change summary to be released shortly says it’s nearly certain our climate is being altered by our fossil fuel consumption … the basic facts about climate change are more established than ever.” But the facts are “slowed warming haunts authors of key climate report” (HPE, Sept. 20). “Scientists on climate change are struggling to explain why global warming appears to have slowed down in the past 15 years even though greenhouse gas emissions keep rising.” Dear Tina Dupuy, would you like a salad with your crow?
The Lord’s mandate in Genesis 1:28 states man was to subdue the earth, to study its plants and animals, to use its natural resources to benefit humanity, and to glorify the God of creation. If America would use the resources God has given us, we could be energy independent in a few years. We have the technology to burn fossil fuels efficiently.
When people leave God out of the equation, they remain in darkness and are easily deceived. Proverbs 1:7 states, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” It will be interesting how scientists and other experts explain the controversy. They will certainly deny the facts and continue to blame human error.
