Your View: Democrats continue their grab for power

If you’ve not been in a coma for the past four years, or vacationing on a far planet you’ve watched Emperor Barack Hussein Obama routinely ignore the Constitution at will.  Apparently a federal court finally awakened, citing the Emperor for at least one of his numerous such lawless acts.
The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals dealt the blow. It ruled that a number of BHO’s “recess” appointments were unconstitutional.  In attempting to sidestep opposition to these like-minded radicals in the Senate, Obama declared these to be “recess” appointments.  Unfortunately for the Emperor, the senate was still formally in session.
This brings up huge questions concerning all the appointees who have now been declared invalid, and the regulations they have created during their time in office.  Among the problem appointments were two at the NLRB, which has issued 13 months of rulings that could not have been issued because without the illegal appointments the NLRB lacked the quorum necessary to make them.
And then there’s the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau , whose radical director was another of these illegal appointments. The bureau has been spewing regulations for the past year.  All the rules adopted by the CFPB during this time should be invalidated. This could actually be a boon for consumer welfare.
Obama swore an oath to “protect, defend, and OBEY the Constitution.”  We know he believes the Constitution is a “flawed” document and a “charter of negative liberties,” so why would we have expected him to obey it?
Despite his lie,  I fully understand that impeachment is impossible because of the make-up of the Congress, with anti-Constitution Democrats controlling the Senate, and cowardly Republicrats controlling the House.
To Democrats the Constitution is merely an impediment to their insatiable hunger for unfettered power as in all dictatorships!

Be smart and use your headlights
Common sense: The ability to use your head when all about you are losing theirs.
No sense: The inability to use your headlights when all about you are using theirs.
It is amazing the number of drivers who do not use their headlights at night or when it is raining or foggy. In fact it is stupid-ifying.
(P.S.: Parking lights don’t count! It is against the laws of physics to be parked while driving 60 miles per hour!)

What do you think of President Obama’s actions and proposals regarding gun control issues? In 30 words or less (no name, address required), email us your thoughts to letterbox@hpe.com. Here are three responses:
• Gun control needs a three-pronged approach. Controlling assault-type weapons, better and through methods for background checks and more help for those afflicted with mental illnesses.
• Federal buildings, elected officials, prominent people, their children are protected by armed guards.  Schools, hospitals, malls, public domains are not protected and frequently have Gun Free Zone on them. WHY?
• Where there are fewer laws against guns, there is less crime; more laws against guns, the more crimes committed.  Do you want less crime or more crime? Simple as that.

Guilford County Schools has created a task force to examine school security in response to the Newtown, Conn., shootings. What suggestions do you offer? In 30 words or less (no name, address required), email us your thoughts to letterbox@hpe.com.
