Meco Dorell Bostic
HIGH POINT — Meco Dorell Bostic, 34, departed this life Monday, May 20, 2013. Meco was born May 15, 1979, to Bernice Bostic and Leroy Bittle. A lifelong resident of Guilford County, he later pursued a communications and mechanical degree.
He is survived by his parents; one sister, Charmaine Bostic; one brother, Lee Latrail (Monique) Bostic; other family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Living Water Baptist Church. Family visitation will begin at 2:00-2:30 p.m.  at the church.

THOMASVILLE — RoseMary Jackson Conyers, 50, of Triad Nursing Home in High Point, NC, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by SE Thomas Funeral and Cremation Services. Wade Temple Foley, Sr.
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Wade Temple Foley, Sr., 69, a resident of 201 High Meadows Road, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Thomasville Medical Center. He was born in Robeson County on May 27, 1943, the son of Joseph Raymond Foley and Ola Buffkin Foley. He retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries Plant D as a supervisor with 43 years of service. He was currently working for Davidson County Schools as a bus monitor for Stoner Thomas School. He was a charter member of Christian Cathedral and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist in Lexington where he served as a church trustee. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Doris Rowe; a half-sister, Olivia (Tinker) Ford; and two brothers, Kenneth Foley and Ricky Foley. He was first married on July 27, 1962, to Brenda Burleson Foley, who preceded him in death on October 30, 2004.
On April 26, 2008, he married Barbara (his Buckwheat) Bailey Foley, who survives of the home. Also surviving are one son, Wade Temple Foley, Jr. and fiancé Brittany Sloan of Concord; two step-daughters, Kelly Burleson of New Bern, and Kathy Lankford and husband Jimmy of Lexington; one step-son, Garret Fine of Lexington; one sister, Linda Nealey and husband Lloyd of Shallotte; four brothers, Fentress (Son) Foley and wife Carol, Edison (Keat) Foley, Arnold (Bopy) Foley and wife Kat, and Roger Foley and wife Joyce, all of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Garrett Foley, Ireland Foley, Hailey Foley; five step-grandchildren, Christopher Fine, Alisha Hailey Woolls, Tabitha Lankford, Nikki Wilson and Jordan Wilson; and four step-great-grandchildren, Chloe Fine, Ryder Fine, Camden Woolls, and Brooklyn Byrd.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. in J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Mike Fritts and Rev. Adam Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. THOMASVILLE — Sheri B. Kennedy, 54, of 831 Mary James Avenue, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville.
Born in Thomasville to the late Matthew and Nancy Brown Borders, Sheri was a 1976 graduate of Thomasville High School. She was employed with Thomasville Furniture Industries and Kmart Corporation.
Surviving are two children, Jimmy Kennedy, Jr. (Sheeba) of Thomasville, NC, and Krystal Kennedy of the home; two sisters, Regina Douglas (Mark) and Donna Morrison (Eric), both of High Point, NC, and one brother, Prevan Borders of the home.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Friendship Baptist Church.

Trubie Burns Porter
HIGH POINT — Mrs. Trubie Burns Porter, 85, formerly of High Point, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, at Brookridge Baptist Home in Winston-Salem.
She was born September 13, 1927, in Saragossa, Alabama, to Marvin Henry Burns and Etta Martin Burns, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husband, James Henry Porter; her brother, Gervis Harvey Burns and her sister, Nellie Burns Sides. Trubie was educated in the Birmingham City Schools and High Point University. She retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries in 2000.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Adams and husband Jim of High Point; her son, Dennis Henson and wife Rita of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren, Lara Adams Brummell and husband Brian of Mission Viejo, CA, Lesley Adams Bailey and husband Chris of High Point, Matthew Scott Henson and wife Kelly of Millbrook, AL, Ashley Henson Bacon of Callahan, FL and John Robert Henson of Springville, AL; her sister, Kathleen Burns Graham and husband Pat of Birmingham, AL; her brother-in-law, Phillip Henson and wife Bonnie; her sister-in-law, Cora Ann Singleton and husband Tommy; and her great-grandchildren, Grace, Brooks and Sydney Brummell, Lila Bailey, Hunter Henson, Andrew Henson, Desia Bacon, Ashton Bacon and Anna Henson.
Her memorial service will be held today at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1225 Chestnut Dr., High Point. Visitation will follow in the Asbury Room at the church. Mrs. Rachel Ingram Sappenfield
GREENSBORO — Mrs. Rachel Ingram Sappenfield, 90, our beautiful mother, passed away on May 21, 2013 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service celebrating Rachel’s life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel with Rev. Mark M. Norman Vickers officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Rachel was born and raised in High Point, NC, where she was educated in the High Point public schools and attended High Point Business College. Following graduation, Rachel worked various jobs for the ORD (Overseas Recruitment Department), The War Department, and The State Department until the first of her five children was born. 
Rachel loved life to the fullest. Her greatest love and full-time career was raising her five children, whom she loved and adored dearly. Rachel was an excellent judge of character and enjoyed her many friends.
She was the last of six children born to Arthur Alexander and Loretta Farlow Ingram. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Jack Edward Sappenfield; four sisters; and one brother. She is survived by her children, Jack E. Sappenfield II (Lucy) of Durham, NC; Connie S. Williams (George) of McLeansville, NC; Bonnie S. Kirkman (Jay) of Greensboro; J. Scott Sappenfield (Jeanie) of Merritt Island, FL; and Jill S. Christiansen (Bobby) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Michael Williams (Jannah), Kimberly Williams, Christopher Sappenfield (Lindsay), Alexander Kirkman, Brian Kirkman, Robert Christiansen, Rachel Christiansen; and five great-grandchildren; nieces; Peggy Honeycutt, Diane Hackney, Ann Batten, June Anderson, Jane Blackwell, Bettye Butler, Amy Hatton, and Melinda Ingram. 
The family would like to offer a special thank you to special friends, Traci Middleton and Michelle Canovai, whom she truly loved.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

Pauline Fouts Shore
THOMASVILLE — Mrs. Pauline Fouts Shore, 88, a resident of Pine Ridge Nursing Center, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born October 21, 1924, a daughter of Grant Lee Fouts and Ella Lambeth Fouts. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Fouts. She was married to Harvey Eugene Shore, who preceded her in death in February, 2013.
Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Childress of Thomasville, Judy Miller and husband Clayton of Mullins SC, Angela Haire and husband Bryan of Thomasville; two sons, Joe Fouts of Thomasville and Donald Shore and wife Vickey of Denton; three sisters, Dorothy Finney and husband Charles of Lexington, Nancy Carter of Clarksville, Tenn., and Mary Alice Hughes of Thomasville; 10 grandchildren, Teresa Patton, Patricia Beasley, Sandra Crisco, Kenneth Nealey, Donald Childress, Jennifer Willard, Jonathan Haire, Chris Railey, Darrell Shore, and Paul Shore; seven great-grandchildren, Brittney Patton, Bobby Lee Norman, Jordan Beasley, Jacob Beasley, Corey Cagle, Eli Cagle, Sarah Nealey; and two great-great grandchildren, Emily Cagle and Aydan Greene.

Reva Mae Smith Sledge
HIGH POINT — Mrs. Reva Mae Smith Sledge, 87, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center.  She was born in Stokes County on August 2, 192,5 to Fredrick Oliver and Nannie Lankford Smith. Mrs. Sledge was a former resident of Thomasville and had lived in the Thomasville/High Point area most of her life. She was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ. Mrs. Sledge enjoyed selling, purchasing and wearing beautiful clothes while working as a clerk for Belk for several years where she met many special friends. She gave 30 years of service to Kayby Mill, Inc. Preceding her in death was her husband, Cornell Sledge; daughter, Karen Sledge Trotter; and sister, Virginia Coggins.
Surviving are her two granddaughters, Erin and Cara Trotter; grandson, Kyle Trotter; son-in-law, Leon Trotter; two sisters, Lelia Tuttle and husband Von Ree, and Faye Smith; brother, James Franklin Smith and wife Laura; special Godsend neighbor, April Lambert; and many special nieces and nephews, especially Eddie Coggins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary United Church of Christ cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to start of service at the funeral home.
