Lillie S. Parrish
THOMASVILLE — Mrs. Lillie Surratt Parrish, 80, a resident of Arthur Drive, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, in High Point Regional Hospital. She was born December 28, 1932, in Davidson County, a daughter of the late John Carl Surratt and Viola Easter Surratt.
Mrs. Parrish was associated with Medical Arts Pharmacy for 14 years before becoming owner and operator of Lil’s Boutique in Thomasville where she served the community for 14 years. She was a former member of the Thomasville Woman’s Club.
Mrs. Parrish was a member of Cid United Methodist Church, where she served as church pianist for 58 years, former Sunday school teacher, church historian, member of the United Methodist Women and the Ladies Bible Class.
On April 16, 1953, she was married to Oscar Lee Parrish, who died April 29, 2002. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Annette Parrish.
Surviving are sons, Tim Parrish and wife Anglyn and Steve Parrish, both of Thomasville; former daughter-in-law, Pam Parrish of Thomasville; grandchildren, Melissa Corron and husband Patrick, Amanda Hildreth and husband Shon, Michael Parrish and wife Kerry, Justin Parrish and wife Shannon, Alysha Parrish, Xzavier Parrish, Gracie Parrish and Landon Parrish; great-grandchildren, Christian Hildreth, Caleigh Hildreth, Landon Corron, Keely Parrish, Ryan Parrish and Riley Ball.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 3 p.m. in Cid United Methodist Church with Rev. Sandy Young and Rev. Doug Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Anglyn Parrish, 165 Fairgrove Road.

GREENSBORO — Charles Wayne Dick, Sr., 71, died on Friday, March 1, 2013. Visitation will be today at Holmes Grove United Methodist Church from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cremation services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.

DENTON — Vergie Gallimore Jackson, age 88, of Highway 47 East, in Denton, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Thomasville Medical Center. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Siloam United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence on NC Highway 47 East.

Albertha T. Hunt
ASHEBORO — Albertha Thompson Hunt, 92, of Asheboro, died Saturday, March 2, 2013. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ridge Funeral Home. Arrangements by Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Blanche Brackett
GREENSBORO — Blanche Brackett, formerly of Lawndale, NC, and Summerfield, NC, died Friday night at Heritage Green, Greensboro, NC, at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, J.B. Brackett.
A devoted Christian and loving mother, she is survived by Douglas Brackett and wife Pat of High Point, NC, and Diana Tedrick and husband Jeff of Summerfield, NC. She maintained a lifelong interest in her grandchildren, Peter Brackett of Greensboro, NC, Samuel Brackett and wife Gretchen of Charlotte, NC, and Hope Halso and husband Matt, also of Charlotte, NC. She particularly enjoyed her great-grandchildren, Caroline and Sarah Grace Halso and Sadie Brackett, all of Charlotte, NC.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 7, at Stamey Funeral Home, 846 East Stagecoach Trail, Fallston, NC.  The family will be present at 1 p.m. for visitation with the funeral service at 2 p.m.
Appreciation is extended to those who maintained contact with Blanche over the years, particularly the members of Lawndale United Methodist Church. They were a source of great comfort and spiritual support.

Betty Jo Sink
THOMASVILLE — Betty Jo Sink, 80, passed away on March 3, 2013, at Hospice Home at High Point. She was born April 15, 1932, in Guilford County to Vester and Cazelle Mabe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert Clay Sink, who passed away in December 2007 after 58 years of marriage.
Surviving are sons, Michael Sink and his wife Cathy, Tim Sink and his wife Melba, Jeffrey Sink and his wife Lisa; daughter, Lori Hughes and her husband Mike; sister Shirley Medlin and her husband Paul; grandchildren, Lauren Lake and her husband Shawn, Shannon and Brendon Sink, Jessica and Landon and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Madalyn and Vivian Lake and Mason Cline.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday March 5, 2013, at Colonial Baptist Church, 6792 Welborn Road, Trinity NC 27370 with Pastor Steve Jarvis officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice Home at High Point for the care and compassion for their mother Betty.
