Rick Carico
BELEWS CREEK — Rick L. Carico, 56, died Feb. 27, 2013. Cremation services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.

James Davis
THOMASVILLE — On March 1, 2013, Jesus reached down at High Point Regional Hospital and took James Harold Davis by the hand and said, “Come unto Me to your eternal home.”
A resident of Thomasville, he was born Aug. 29, 1930 in Guilford County to the late Eskew and Hattie Corder Davis.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Lain and a brother Donald Davis.
He retired from Brass Craft of Thomasville as a supervisor in the valve department with twenty years of service.
Having completed his military duty in the Korean Conflict, he attended High Point College (University) and North Carolina State College.
He was a member of Fair Grove United Methodist Church and attended Holly Hill Wesleyan Church.
Surviving is his beloved wife of sixty-three years, Vera Beck Davis and a brother, Ralph Davis of Mobile, Al.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and the Alcazar children.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 3 P.M. in J.C. Green & Sons Chapel with Rev. Mark Mullins officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Joseph Jude Hennings
THOMASVILLE — Joseph Jude Hennings, 85 of Thomasville died Wednesday Feb. 20, 2013 at Piedmont Crossing.  Born Oct. 14, 1927 in Elizabeth, NJ he is a son of the late James Joseph Hennings and Emma Hart Hennings.    He graduated from Kane University in Elizabeth, NJ and was a former Lieutenant with the Elizabeth Police Department.
Mr. Hennings is survived by his wife Carol Hennings of Thomasville, three children, Glenn Hennings of Elizabeth, NJ, Gary Hennings and wife Erma of Mountainside, NJ, Gregg Hennings and his late wife Doris of Jackson, NJ.    He is also survived by four step children, Patty Lawless of Denver, CO, Tony Lawless and wife Tina of Deer Isle, Maine, Marcia Maines and husband Ken of Winston-Salem and Deborah Rentler  and husband Russ of Orefield, PA eleven grandchildren  and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Joseph Jude Hennings will be held Saturday March 2nd at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point with the Reverend Sarah B. Snell officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service.

LEXINGTON — Foy Myers McMahan, 76, of Dykers Creek Road, died March 1, 2013. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Steve Pierce
WINSTON-SALEM — Mr. Steven (Steve) Roy Pierce, 56, resident of Winston-Salem, died Feb. 28th, 2013 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Mr. Pierce was born Jan. 22nd, 1957 in Wilkes County, a son to James Harold and Louise Triplett Pierce.  He was a resident of this area since 1971 and had also lived in Atlanta.  He attended Ragsdale High School, worked at Total Transportation and attended services at Church of God of Prophecy in High Point.  He was a dedicated and hard worker toward everything he did and also was a motorcycle enthusiast.  On May 1st, 1982 he married the former Peggy Auman who survives of the residence.  He was a great father and husband who loved his family dearly.
Also surviving are his parents of Greensboro; two children, Bailee and Jordan Pierce both of the residence; a sister, Donna Freeman and husband George of Monroe; a nephew, Mark Freeman; and two nieces, Beth and Megan Freeman.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dana and Mary Triplett and his paternal grandparents, Roy and Dovie Pierce.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Church of God of Prophecy in High Point with Rev. Benjamin Duncan officiating.  Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
