ASHEBORO — William “Bill”  Thomas Anderson, 78, of Asheboro, died Feb. 17, 2013.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel.

Marguerite Kirkman Murry Baker
SAVANNAH, Ga. — Marguerite Kirkman Murray Baker, 87, died Saturday at Summer Breeze Assisted Living on Wilmington Island, Savannah, GA.
She was born in High Point, North Carolina, daughter of Forrest H. and Marguerite Kirkman Murray. Mrs. Baker received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina and began a career as secretary to the owner of Beason Hardware in High Point. In 1949, she married Henry M. Baker making their home in High Point. They were married for 63 years.
Due to Mr. Baker’s employment they located to New York City, moving later to Madison, NJ where they lived for many years. Mrs. Baker was a devoted mother, avid golfer and a member of Grace Episcopal Church and served on the church alter guild. She continued her community volunteer activities after retirement in Savannah with the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church on the Isle of Hope, Savannah, GA.
Surviving are her husband, Henry M. Baker of Savannah; two sons and daughters-in-law, Forrest West and Joyce C. Baker of Savannah; James Edward and R.J. Baker of Brentwood, TN; three sisters, Betty Hunt Groome of High Point, NC; Carolyn Moore of Atlanta, GA; Pat Willard of High Point, NC; three grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Baker, Lauren K. Baker, Jennifer P. Baker; and sister-in-law, Virginia Louise Heck of Baltimore, MD.
Memorial visitation was held Thursday evening, Feb. 14, 2013, at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. The funeral service was private.

Clayton Barricks
HIGH POINT — Mr. Clayton Woodrow Barricks, 29, resident of High Point died Feb. 14, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Barricks was born Oct. 9, 1983, in New Castle, IN, a son of Patrick B. and Laura Proffitt Barricks.  A resident of this area 10 years, he was of the Baptist faith and had worked at Flash Gordon Car Lot.  He also was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard.  In 2005 he married the former Brittany Hester.
Also surviving is his father of High Point; his mother of Virginia; a son, Caleb Beckham of Elkin; a step-father, Jeff Hoover of Virginia; a step brother, Justin Whitley; a half sister, Amy Martin; and two step sisters, Pamela Sanders and Amanda Cruse both of Indiana.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  On-line condolences may be made through

Robert W. “Zack” Clinard
HIGH POINT — Robert W “Zack” Clinard,82, died Feb. 16, 2013, at Hospice Home of High Point.
Although born in Baltimore, Maryland, Feb. 2, l931, he was a lifelong resident of High Point. He was the son of Clarence W. and Ethel W. Clinard, both deceased.
He graduated from HP Central High School, class of “49” and enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1950 after the outbreak of the Korean War. Three Years later, after the truce was reached., he was discharged holding the rank of Sgt. He enrolled in High Point University in 1954, graduated with the class of “57”, and was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He retired in 1993 from Ilderton Oil Company where he had the privilege of serving as accountant/controller. He held the position of secretary  of the company and also secretary of Ilderton Land Development. He served as treasurer of the High Point Oil Dealers Association until retirement. After retirement , he worked for a time with his son who was involved in starting a new business, TElxpress, Inc.
He was a member of College Village Methodist Church and after the merger with South Main Methodist in 1971, he continued as a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He had served in many capacities over the years, including the Finance Committee and Administrative  Board during the planning and construction of the present sanctuary from 1976 to 1978. He was a longtime member of the Bill Wood Memorial Sunday School Class.
He enjoyed golf and was a member of the High Point  Seniors Golf Association. He learned beach dancing as a teenager and his love for it was revived later when it became known as shagging. He was inducted into Thirsty’s Shaggers Wall of Fame in 1997.
In 1957 he was married to Elaine Sells Clinard who survives of the home. Also Surviving are his three children; Susan Clinard Dickenson  and husband Tim of Greensboro, Sherry Clinard  of Greensboro, and Stan Clinard and wife Dana of High Point; 5 Grandchildren; Sophie, Jane, Olivia, Gracie and Parker. Frank “Frankie” Walton Hudson Jr.
HIGH POINT — Frank “Frankie” Walton Hudson, Jr., 59 passed away unexpectedly, Feb. 16, 2013, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Frank was born on March 26, 1953, a son of the late Frank Walton Hudson Sr., and Pauline Rogers Hudson.  He lived all of his adult life in High Point and was a friend to all who knew him.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Walden and one brother Charles E Hudson.
Frank is survived by four sisters, Caroline Caldwell of Pulaski, VA, Becky Hudson, Vada Pigg and Kathy Ann Hill all of High Point; a brother,  Billy Wayne Hubbard and wife Melissa of Silver Valley; a brother in law, Wayne Walden, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Katherine.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. in the Davis Funerals & Cremations Chapel by the Rev. D.R. Johnson. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10  a.m. until 11 a.m.
