Norma Glover
CONWAY, S.C. — Norma Irene Glover age 81, of 9th Avenue, died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Glover was born in High Point, NC, a daughter of the late Ferrell Lyndsy and Donnie Rodaski Spoon Sink.  She moved to Conway, SC in 2009 after spending 31 years in San Antonio, TX.  Mrs. Glover loved to play Bingo, embroidery and sports.  The family would like to thank the staff of Mercy Care for their loving care of Norma.  She was predeceased by 1 brother and 1 sister.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Charles O. Glover of Conway, SC, three sons, Charles E. Glover (Sybil) of Sumter, SC,  David W. Glover (Sallie) of Conway, SC and Charles R. Glover (Renee) of Beaumont, TX, one daughter, Donnie Ann Helms of Conway, SC, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Floral Garden Memorial Park in High Point, NC.

Jackie Hinesley
ARCHDALE — Mrs. Jacqueline (Jackie) Cameron Hinesley, 83, died July 20, 2013.  A service to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held at 11am Tuesday in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service, Archdale.

Jewel Kennedy
HIGH POINT — Mrs. Jewel Bodenhamer Kennedy, 87 of High Point went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Westchester Manor in High Point.
Jewel was born May 29, 1926 in Guilford County a daughter of the late Jacob B. Bodenhamer and Ella Blanche Hines Bodenhamer. She retired from Jack Cartright, Inc and after retirement she worked in the gift shop at High Point Regional Hospital. Jewel was a member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church and attended Woodlawn Baptist Church. She was married December 9, 1942 to Fred Calvin Kennedy, he died June 12, 2005. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Bertha B. Teague, Francis B. Horlick and Margarette (Sparky) Sink and one brother, Jake Bodenhamer.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy K. Ray of High Point and Freddine K, Crabtree and husband Richard of High Point; one son, Randall C. Kennedy and wife Janie of Wilmington; three grandchildren, Mandi Ray of High Point, Greg Ray and wife Heather of Winston Salem and Erica Kennedy Bowling and husband Brian of Raleigh; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Ray, Cady Ray, Layton Bowling, Marley Snyder and Megan Snyder; one sister, Betty B. Dier and husband Dick of Watertown, NY and a sister in law,
Pat Bodenhamer of High Point.
Funeral services for Jewel will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home, Wallburg Chapel 10301 N. NC Hwy. 109 Winston Salem with the Rev. Jack Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10.00 a.m. until the hour of the service.

George Curtis Phillips
TRINITY — George Curtis Phillips, 80, a resident of Trinity went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, July the 20th, 2013, following a brief illness.
George was born February 22th, 1933 in Bear Creek, N.C., a son to Charlie and Julie Phillips. He was a veteran of the US. Army and was truly proud to serve his country. He was a faithful servant to God and was a long time member of Gospel Baptist Church in Archdale, N.C. where he served as deacon. His church family was his extended family, whom he loved very much. George enjoyed doing volunteer work for his church and cherished memories of helping people in need.
George was self-employed and worked with his wife Shirley. They owned and operated Glen’s Monogram for many years. They enjoyed many new friendships with their business travels.  In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard, Howard, Calvin, and Kelly; and sisters, Alice Gaines, Alberta Cockman, Pauline Wilson, and Geneva Lowe.
On July 4th, 1953, he married Shirley Harris, who survies of the home. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Danny C. Phillips and wife Kathy of Trinity, Dennis Phillips of Greensboro and a daughter, Sherry Malone and Keith of Trinity. Grandchildren include Brian Phillips of Jamestown, Lori Holt of Archdale, Jennifer Newkirk of Kernersville, Shane Malone of Tennessee, and Brantley Malone of Trinity. Also surviving are 5 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 9 step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Gospel Baptist Church in Archdale, N.C. with the Pastor Tim White and Pastor Frank Gribble officiating. Interment will follow in the Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday; at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale from 6 until 8 pm. Lindy Trivette
ARCHDALE — Mr. W. Lindy Trivette, absent with the body, present with the Lord, passed away July 20th, 2013 at High Point Regional Hospital.
Mr. Trivette was born January 16th, 1929 in Thomasville, NC, a son to the late Walter and Blanche Trivette.  In 1988 he retired from Golden State Foods and since 1990, had faithfully attended Green St. Baptist Church.  He was a member of the Sonshine Fellowship Club and loved his Lord and the church.  Lindy and Margie delivered Mobile Meals in High Point and Archdale which was a great blessing to them.  He loved and enjoyed people and spent many breakfasts at Spiros with all his “family” and friends.  In addition to his parents, Lindy was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Parker Trivette; three sons, Infant Davie Lyn Trivette, Ray Trivette and Jimmy Trivette; two granddaughters, Renea Trivette and Lyn Hunt; his brother, Marian Trivette; his sister, Juanita Cecil; and his daughter-in-law, Beverly Trivette.
Surviving is his loving and devoted wife and caregiver, Margie Fagg Trivette; three sons, Danny Trivette, Gary Fagg and wife Connie and Duane Fagg and wife Mary Alice; three grandsons, Lee Trivette and wife Kim, Bob McGregor and wife Alisa and Donald Garner; five granddaughters, Amber Trivette, Laura Fagg, Virginia Fagg, Julia Fagg and Kate McGregor; and eight great grandchildren, James Trivette, Casey Trivette, Ian McGregor, Maura McGregor, Sidney McGregor, Kyra McGregor, Lindsay McGregor and Allie McGregor.

Sallie Yates
THOMASVILLE — Mrs. Sallie Bell Hill Yates, 91, a resident of Pineywood Road, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the High Point Regional Hospital.  She was born August 7, 1921 in Davidson County, a daughter of the late Hosey Presley Hill and May Hunt Hill.  Mrs. Yates was a retired employee with Henredon Furniture Industries.  She attended Love of God Baptist Church.  She was married to Leon Nathaniel Yates who preceded her in death July 1, 2011.
Surviving are a son, Tony Leon Yates of Portsmouth, Virginia; grandchildren, Bryan Nathan Yates and wife Tammi of Portsmouth, Virginia and Lorrie Lee Spivey and husband Bradley of Thomasville; and Seven Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 2 p.m. in J.C. Green & Sons Chapel with Rev. Mike Orman officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
