Annie Marie Barneycastle
HIGH POINT – Annie Marie Barneycastle-90-passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Hospice Home in High Point. Born in Yadkin County to the late Jason W. and Laura Rominger Myers. Annie Marie was a homemaker and attended English Road Baptist Church. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. Annie Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Baneworth Barneycastle.
Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie Grey Barneycastle Blair of High Point, two sons, Larry Gene Barneycastle and wife Shirley of Tampa, Fl. And James Albert Barneycastle and wife Alexis of High Point. She is also survived by a half- brother, Jessie Donald Myers and wife Cathy of Winston-Salem, nine grandchildren and twelve Great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point from 11am to 1 pm followed by a private graveside service at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall at 2 pm.

DENTON – Ms. Barbara Hedrick, resident of Denton, died Nov. 25, 2012 at her residence.  Arrangements are pending at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.

LEXINGTON – Katy Harrell Daniels, 74 of Lexington, died Friday night. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reedy Creek Baptist Church. Arrangements by Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel.

 

Phyllis Hughes
LEXINGTON – Mrs. Phyllis Myers Hughes, 66 a resident of 273 Hughes Rd. passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. in Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. Interment will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Lexington. The family will greet friends Tuesday, from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church, and at other times at the home.

 

Wesley Lamm Jr.
THOMASVILLE – Mr. Wesley Elbert Lamm, Jr., 62, died on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at his residence.
Wesley was born on August 30, 1950, a son of Wesley Elbert and Leila Marie (Joyner) Lamm Wishon. He was a resident of the area all his life and was previously employed with J. Butler’s Bar and Grille. Wesley was an accomplished sketch artist and was a lover of animals.
Wesley is survived by his mother, Leila Marie (Joyner) Lamm Wishon of Thomasville; one son, Robert Daniel Lamm and wife Samantha of Thomasville; two sisters, Phyllis Marie Lamm (Who passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012) and Crystal Leann (Lamm) Minton and husband Arlie of Wallburg; three brothers, George Allen Lamm of Thomasville, Bobby Lee Lamm and wife Darlene of Trinity and William David Lamm and wife Rhonda of Thomasville. Wesley was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Elbert Lamm, Sr.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Cloverdale Church of the Living God with Rev. Elmer Joyner and Rev. David Perry officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.

Phyllis Marie Lamm
THOMASVILLE – Phyllis Marie Lamm, 54, a loving daughter and sister who loved animals, especially her birds CiCi and Tweetie, died on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Hinkle Home in Lexington.
A lifelong resident of the area, Phyllis was born on July 24, 1958 in High Point to Wesley Elbert and Leila Marie (Joyner) Lamm Wishon. She worked for many years at the Presbyterian Home in High Point and retired in 2009 due to her health.
Phyllis is survived by her mother, Leila Maria (Joyner) Lamm Wishon of Thomasville; one sister, Crystal Leann (Lamm) Minton and husband Arlie of Wallburg; three brothers, George Allen Lamm of Thomasville, Bobby Lee Lamm and wife Darlene of Trinity and William David “Billy” Lamm and wife Rhonda or Thomasville; one niece; and several nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her father Wesley Elbert Lamm, Sr. and her brother, Wesley Elbert Lamm, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Cloverdale Church of the Living God with Rev. Elmer Joyner and Rev. David Perry officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.

ASHEBORO – Mr. Bobby Ray Freeman, 65, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012.

NORTH WILKESBORO – Mr. George Talmadge Brown, age 82, of Old Highway 60, Millers Creek, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at his home.
Graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at Palmyra United Methodist Church Cemetery in Germanton, N.C. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from noon until 1 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service.

Jim Fitzgerald
HIGH POINT – James Harris “Jim” Fitzgerald, Jr. 68, a resident of High Point, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012.
He was born in Forsyth County, NC on July 25, 1944, to the late James Harris Fitzgerald and Ruth Hill Fitzgerald. He graduated from NC State University in 1964, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired from R.J. Reynolds in Winston-Salem. Jim’s dream car was his corvette, and he loved to work in his yard. On February 27, 2003, he was married to Edith Blackwell, she survives of the home.
Also surviving are his children; Deanna Barefoot and her husband Shane of Coats, NC, Melissa Peacock and her husband Todd of the home, Tony Piper and his wife Debbie of Greensboro, and Brooke Manning of East Bend, NC, his brother; Robert Fitzgerald of Raleigh and seven grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 27, 2012, form the Chapel, of Cumby Family Funeral Service, in High Point, with Reverend Eric Peacock officiating. The family will see friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service, on Tuesday at the funeral home. Ray Gallimore
DENTON –Mr. E. Ray Gallimore, age 84 of Gallimore Road, Denton, NC died Sunday, November 25 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 28 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Danny Hosler and Rev. James Draughn.  Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Gallimore Road.
Mr. Gallimore was born in Davidson County  on December 4, 1927 to Edmund Gallimore and Lillie Beatrice Dunning Gallimore.  He was a retired employee of Burlington Industries, Denton Plant and a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church.  He was married to Eddith Snider Gallimore who died March 30, 2012.  He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lorie Ann Gallimore, by a brother, Reece Gallimore and by sisters, Jessie Franks and Mildred Nance.
He is survived by a daughter Donna G. Lowe and husband Sydney of Asheboro; by grandchildren Bradley Lowe and wife Anissa  and Jeffrey Lowe and wife Mendi; by 3 great grandchildren; a brother Robert Gallimore of Linwood; sisters Virgie Jackson and Jeweldean Franks and husband Leo of Denton and Gladys Metters of Lexington.
