Nancy Alexander
LEXINGTON — Nancy Frizzell Alexander, 54, died Nov. 19, 2012, at her home.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Tyro United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home.
 
Julia Randolph
HIGH POINT  — Julia Patricia “Pat” Tucker Randolph, 70, died Nov. 20, 2012 at her residence. Funeral plans are incomplete at Cumby Family Funeral Service  in Archdale.

William H. Turnage
BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services celebrating the life of William H. Turnage, age 82, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bossier City. Reverend Sig Kunz will officiate. Committal services will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, prior to services.
A charter member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bossier City, Mr. Turnage was born July 6, 1930 in High Point, N.C. to William Carl and Sophronia Lee Turnage. He passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012. He attended High Point public schools, High Point University and LSUS.
Mr. Turnage proudly served his country in the Air Force retiring in 1971 then from LA DOTD in 1992. A veteran of the Berlin Airlift and the Korean Conflict, he was awarded the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by parents and brothers, Thomas Lee Turnage and David Turnage.
Mr. Turnage is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Dorothy Turnage; children, Richard Turnage and wife, Jill; John Turnage and wife, Pat; William Turnage and wife, Therese; Jane Woods and husband, Jim and Amy Hanley; grandchildren, Ian Hanley, Mary Helen, Kelsey, Jack, Maggie and Caroline Turnage; Campbell, Julia and Laurel Woods, and Elizabeth and Hank Turnage; sister, Sylvia Hines and Nancy Hinson, all of High Point, NC.
He was a wonderful and generous husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Manish Dhawan and the staff of Regional Oncology for their kindness and excellent care.
Honoring Mr. Turnage as pallbearers will be Harold Mohrmann, Wayne Morgan, Charlie Johnson, Ken Russell, Bill Quinn, David Cotton and grandsons, Ian Hanley, Campbell Woods, Jack Turnage, and Hank Turnage.
The family requests that memorial gifts be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund.

GREENSBORO - Frank Figgures, Jr., died Nov. 18, 2012, at Moses Cone Hospital.  A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Blacks Memorial Presbyterian Church, Monroe, N.C.

SNEADS FERRY  — Thomas Allen “Tommy” Perdue Sr., 70, of Sneads Ferry died Monday November 19, 2012 at his home in Sneads Ferry. 
A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Saturday at New River Community Church in Sneads Ferry with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. A graveside service will take place 3:00PM Sunday December 23, 2012 at Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Cedar Square, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret “Kay” Perdue of Sneads Ferry; daughter, Karen Perdue Daniels of Sneads Ferry; son, Thomas Allen “Tommy” Perdue Jr. and wife, Alice of Sneads Ferry; five grandchildren, Danny Lee Monroe Jr., Matthew Allen Perdue, Christopher Andrew Perdue, Justin Brice Oliver, Jordan Wayne Oliver; four brothers, Fred Donald Perdue of Arizona; Kenneth Ray Perdue and wife, Peggy of High Point; Bruce Perdue and wife, Patty of Boston, MA; Darrell Gene Perdue and wife, Bonnie of Thomasville, NC.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lillie Perdue, four sisters and five brothers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to New River Community Church, 117 Wheeler Creek Rd. Sneads Ferry, NC  28460.

WINSTON-SALEM – Claudia Mae Little Reid, 69, Nov. 18, 2012 in Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Brooks Temple United Methodist Church, Lexington, NC.  Visitation will be 30 minutes before the funeral service and other times the home.

Deane “Poodle” Denny 
HIGH POINT — Deane “Poodle” Denny, 87, a resident of High Point, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012.  She was born in Ashe County, NC on July 10, 1925, to the late Arthur Caudill and Bessie Barr Caudill and had been a resident of High Point since 1956. In her earlier years, she was employed with Sears, and later was employed at Food World as their cake decorator. She was a member of Oakview United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Kingdom Builders Sunday school class and also served on the memorial committee, and helped keep the nursery. She made her own Christmas cards every year and would give out 500 to 600 cards every year. Poodle enjoyed painting with water colors, and spending time with her great grandchildren, whom she cherished so much. One of her favorite past times was going to the Hallmark store at the mall and buying for her great grandchildren. She also enjoyed eating out and making new friends. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was six brothers, Herbert, Ted, Pat, Todd, Bruce and Dale Caudill.
On December 5, 1947, she was married to Dale Denny, he survives of the home. Also surviving are her daughter; Sandra Smith and her husband Ken of High Point, two grandchildren; Rob Smith and his wife Amy of High Point, and Julie Wetmore and her husband Eddie of Raleigh, 5 great grandchildren; Parker Smith, Emily Wetmore, Elisha Wetmore, Erynn Wetmore, and Isaac Wetmore, 2 brothers; Roger Caudill and his wife Nita Kay of Raleigh, and Harold Caudill and his wife Margie of Charlotte.
A service to celebrate Poodle’s life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Oakview United Methodist Church, with Reverend Sandra Ireson and Reverend Chuck Ireson officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service, in the fellowship hall of Oakview United Methodist Church. THOMASVILLE — Dawn Landrum Hooper, 67, died Nov. 19, 2012 at her home.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.  Visitation will be following the service.
