Lessie Hayworth Bodenheimer
HIGH POINT — Mrs. Lessie Hayworth Bodenheimer, 91, of Mock Rd., went home to be with her Lord and Savior and to hold her beloved husbands hand Saturday, April 12, 2014.
She was born in Davidson County, June 27, 1922 a daughter of the late Wheeler Addison Hayworth and Carma Louise Williard Hayworth. She was a graduate of Wallburg High  School and Guilford Business College. She was retired from Braxton Culler Inc. in  the Accounting and Bookkeeping Department and a member of the Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was married September 7, 1943 to David Clyde Bodenheimer, who preceded her in death and was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Hayworth Swaim.
Surviving are her children, Sharyn Craven and husband Gene of High Point, Mr. and Mrs. D.C.  Bodenheimer, Jr. of Kernersville, Col. Mike Bodenheimer and wife Anita of Colorado Springs, CO and Carma Ann Robertson and husband Ricky of High Point.
Grandchildren, Tony Craven, Christy Craven Willson, Jack Robertson, David Robertson, Melanie Bodenheimer Wright, Matt Bodenheimer, Miranda Bodenheimer, Ryan Bodenheimer, Brystal Bodenheimer, Hayley Bodenheimer and Tyler Forystek.
Great Grandchildren Landon Bodenheimer, Maggie Bodenheimer, Caroline Craven, Dalton Craven, Tucker Craven, Cooper Craven, Bella Willson, Wade Willson and Catheryn Wright.  Sisters-in-law, Mae Green, Violet Everhart, Charlotte Bodenheimer and Barbara Bodenheimer.
Funeral services  will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2015 at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church 2817 Abbotts Creek Church Road High Point with the Rev. Mark Hollar officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Mrs. Bodenheimer will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home (Wallburg Chapel) 10301 N. NC Hwy. 109 Winston Salem until placed in the church Tuesday at 2 p.m. and the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall at Abbotts Creek Baptist Church Tuesday, April 15, 2014  from 2 p.m. until 3:45 p.m.

Bessie Valeria Kivett Cagle
BETTENDORF, Iowa — Bessie Valeria Kivett Cagle, 86, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Friday, April 11, 2014 at her home.
There will be no services held at this time. The family suggests memorials to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, in lieu of flowers. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Valeria was born on Sept. 30, 1927, the youngest of six children of Marvin and Bertha Kivett. She died peacefully on April 11, 2014, in Bettendorf, Iowa.  She grew up in High Point, North Carolina, and began college at High Point College, where she was an accomplished violinist and concert mistress of her college orchestra.
In the late 1940s, she married Wayne Cagle and together they raised a family of four children, all of whom survive her: Wayne (Perri) Cagle, Jr., Lynne (Larry) Zotzmann, Debbie (Terry) Crouch, and Mark Cagle.
After graduation from Central Missouri State University in the early 1970s, she began a distinguished teaching career at Robinson Elementary School in Raytown, Missouri.  She taught for over a decade and was a recipient of the Kansas City Star’s Excellence in Education Award.
In addition to her children, she is survived by her brother Marvin Kivett, Jr., four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Beatrice Alexander McCullough
HIGH POINT — After two weeks of declining health, Mrs. Beatrice Alexander McCullough, age 100, died on Monday, April 7, 2014, at Heritage Nursing Home in High Point, NC.  She formerly resided in Beamon Count Housing.
Mrs. McCullough was born Feb. 5, 1914 in High Point, NC to the late James Robert and Etta Strong Alexander.  She was a devoted member of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Wasson and Helen Burns; three brothers, Rayford Alexander, George Alexander and Theodore Alexander.
Survivors are four nephews, George Alexander of Kernersville, NC, Arthur (Gloria) Alexander of High Point, NC, Leslie (Tina) Joyner al Allentown, PA and John (Shirley) of High Point, NC; five nieces, Geneva Alexander of Greensboro, NC, Connie Miller of High Point, NC, Patricia Oyinwola of Greensboro, NC and Joyce Frazier of Easton, NJ; of host other relatives and friends.

HIGH POINT — Jerry Lee Malone, 63, died April 11, 2014, at High Point Regional UNC Healthcare.

Iva Bell Smith Nelson
HIGH POINT — Mrs. Iva Bell “Bobbie” Smith Moore Nelson , 96, a resident of Bradford Village West, Kernersville, died on Thursday, April 10, 2014. 
She was born Feb. 6, 1918, in Stokes County to Roland M. Smith and Laura Akers Smith. She was the oldest living member of Walnut Cove Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her first husband, Elder Fletcher Moore  in 1973 and second husband, Carl Watson Nelson;  son, Donald W. Moore; five sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are daughters, Dorothy Reid and husband Charles of Kernersville, &  Deborah Grogan and husband Randy of Wilson, NC; stepson Barry Nelson and wife Jan of High Point; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 14, 2014 at Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church in Kernersville at 1:00 pm  officiated by  Elder Milton Gunter and Rev. Neil Shaw.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point .  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103.

Clara “Nina” Shaw
HIGH POINT — Clara “Nina” Shaw, 97 passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Shannon Gray Health and Rehabilitation.
Nina was born on Sept. 25, 1916, in Guilford County to James Shaw and Ila Bristow Shaw.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Ernest Lee Shaw and Grandson Scott Shaw also 11 brothers and sisters. Nina was a loving mother adoring grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.
Survived by sons; Darrell Shaw of High Point, Jimmy Shaw and his wife Sue of West Palm Beach, Fla., Larry Shaw and his wife Pam of Archdale, also 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, April 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Floral Gardens Memorial Park with Reverend Bynum Orr officiating.
At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Darrell Shaw.
