DENTON — Pauline Pierce Gordon, 75, of Richey Road, Denton, died Oct. 12, 2013, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Old Fashioned Baptist Church. Briggs Funeral Home of Denton is in charge of arrangements.

Steven Gunter
TRINITY — Steven Michael Gunter of Trinity died Oct. 11, 2013, at Randolph Memorial Hospital.

Sadie May
JAMESTOWN — Mrs. Sadie Trentacosta May, 88, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Pennybyrn at Maryfield.
Sadie was born on March 6, 1925 in New Jersey to the late Sam Trentacosta and Ana D’Amore Trentacosta. Sadie married her sweetheart Alfred May in 1944. 
After Alfred’s death in 1970, Sadie established Sadie May’s Ristorante in Jamestown in 1974.  She ran the Ristorante for 32 years. Sadie loved gardening and cooking, was very big on celebrating the holidays with her family, and was very devoted to her Catholic faith. She loved her Yorkie, Chloe, who was her constant companion for 13 years. 
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Rasperski; brother, Joseph Trentacosta; sons, Al May and David May; and a granddaughter, Emily May.
Surviving are her children, Paula White and her husband Gary of Jamestown and Patricia Shelor of Trinity, and her sister, Rose Porco of New Jersey. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15th, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1505 E. Kivett Drive in High Point. Burial follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14th, at Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 E. Lexington Avenue in High Point.

Perry Franklin Phillips Jr.
HIGH POINT — Perry Franklin Phillips, Jr., 55, of High Point, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013.
Perry was born Jan. 24, 1958.  He worked for 23 years for NAPA before starting his own delivery company.  He attended Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church in High Point.  Perry had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed mentoring children new to deer hunting and fishing. 
Perry is survived by children, Brandy Kress and husband Tony of Trinity, Jessica Phillips and fiancée Matt Wilson of Trinity, Cristin Phillips, Matthew Phillips, and Zachary Phillips of Archdale and their mother, Cheryl Phillips; parents, Perry Franklin Phillips, Sr. and Peggy Mannings Phillips of Greensboro; sister, Debi Bean and husband Bill of Thomasville; grandchildren, Nathan Phillips, Lydia Cook, McKaylia Garrrison, and Brayton Kress; nieces, Alli Bean and Callie Dean; nephew, Corey Griffith; and great niece, Kallie Branson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Oct. 15th, from 6–8 p.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale.  A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16th, at 11 a.m. at Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church, High Point, with Reverend James Capps officiating.

Rev. Paul Bravender
HIGH POINT — The Rev. Paul E. Bravender of High Point died Oct. 10, 2013, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. 
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Jamestown United Methodist Church. Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point is assisting the family.

Helen Shore
THOMASVILLE — Mrs. Helen Myers Shore, 92, a resident of Westchester Harbour, formerly of June Street, Thomasville, died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 12, 2013, at the nursing center. 
She was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Gaston County, a daughter of Benjamin Anderson Myers and Stacy Ann George Myers.  She was employed with Carolina Hosiery Mill, retiring in 1984.  Mrs. Shore was a member of Park Place Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Imogene Shore; sons, Benny Gordon Shore and Jimmy Lee Shore; and a sister, Nadine Hedgepath, a grandson Mark Fortner
On May 1, 1937 she was married to Otis Odell Shore, who died May 10, 2006.
Surviving are grandchildren: Kimberly Ward and husband Howard and Bruce Shore, both of Gastonia,  Annette Gianopoulos and husband Chris, Christal Flannery and Maida Martin and husband Roger all of Thomasville, Jeff Shore and wife Donna of Denton and Kerry Hinshaw of Wilmington; thirteen Great-Grandchildren and eight Great-Great-Grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Tom Campbell officiating.
Mrs. Shore will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home until the service hour.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at their respective homes.

SOPHIA — Robert Glenn “Bob” White, 79, of Sophia, died Oct. 12, 2013, at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
