Margaret Savannah Felts
ARCHDALE — Mrs. Margaret Savannah Felts, 83, of Archdale passed away July 1, 2014 at the Westwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Archdale, NC.
Margaret was born October 13, 1930 in High Point, NC to the late Lester Marshall and Pearl Lambeth Coleman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Felts and two brothers, Sam Coleman and Boyd Coleman.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Bobby Roberts of Archdale and Joe Roberts of High Point, and her daughter, Debra Byrd of Archdale. Margaret is also survived by her two sisters, Joann Adams of Raleigh, and Nancy McCarthy of Raleigh and her brother Buck Coleman of Salisbury. Margaret has six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Margaret’s family wishes to acknowledge that she was “the sweetest Mother and Grandmother that ever lived.”
Visitation will be held at Sechrest Funeral Service, 120 Trindale Road, Archdale, NC on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Sechrest Funeral Chapel.

ASHEBORO — Gary Thomas Callicutt, 62, died Monday, June 30, 2014.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m.Thursday, July 3, at Macedonia United Methodist Church.

THOMASVILLE — Mr. Gerald Anthony (Jerry) Kennedy, 64, a resident of Thomasville, died Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Hospice Home At High Point.
He was born in High Point on February 20, 1950 a son of David Thomas Kennedy and Lalah Cagle Kennedy and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a member of Unity United Methodist Church and had retired from Mickey Truck Bodies. Jerry loved the beach and loved to hunt and fish.
On July 8, 1972 he was married to Sharon McCarn, who survives of the home. Also surviving are a son, Patrick K. Kennedy and his wife Sharon of Battleboro, NC; his mother, Mrs. Lalah Cagle Kennedy of Thomasville; a granddaughter, Emma Proctor of Battleboro; and two brothers, David James (Dee) Kennedy of Cary and Donald Lloyd (Donnie) Kennedy of Greensboro.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 4 p.m. at Unity United Methodist Church in Thomasville by the Rev. Rob Hutchinson and the Rev. Glenn Griffiths. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church.

Edward Medford Lyles
THOMASVILLE — Edward Medford Lyles, age 74, died peacefully on June 30, 2014 at The Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, NC.
A native of Louisburg, NC, he was the son of the late George and Sue Medlin Lyles.
Ed was the owner of Hallmark Homes and Tax Services for over 48 years and was a US Navy Veteran. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a great grandpaw.
A funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia Founders Chapel with Pastor Rick Puckett officiating. Interment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park with military rites by the Gaston County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00-12:00 at the funeral home.
Survivors include his daughter, Teri Lyles Moss of Thomasville; grandchildren, Alex Moss, Mason, Jordan and Tayler Lyles; great granddaughter, Kensley Grace Moss; brothers, Jesse Lyles of Bessemer City, Allan Lyles and wife, Jeanette of Dallas; sister, Carolyn Johnson of Bessemer City.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Harding Lyles; and his son, Randy Lyles.

Caswell Dallas ‘Moon’ Mullins
MADISON — Caswell Dallas “Moon” Mullins, 76, died Monday June 30, 2014 at home surrounded by his wife and family.
Mr. Mullins was born August 15th, 1937 in Moore County to Mae Elizabeth Thompson Mullins and the late Caswell Burl Mullins. As a young man he demonstrated an incredible talent and love for music that led to a lifelong career in entertainment. He was the long time co-owner and voice of WREV Radio Station in Reidsville. He was also the owner and operator of Moon’s Nightclub in Madison. “Moon” was an accomplished sportsman; fishing and hunting being two of his most cherished pastimes.
Dallas “Moon” Mullins will be remembered most for being a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In 1954 he married the love of his life Emalee Proctor and they were married for 60 years. His children Tony and Tonya, their families and his grandchildren were the joys of his life.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Presley Marie Mullins and his brothers Edward and Gene Mullins.
Survivors include his mother Mae Elizabeth Thompson Mullins of Madison; his wife, Emalee Proctor Mullins of the home; his son, Caswell Anthony Mullins and daughter-in-law, Robin Mullins of Summerfield; his daughter, Tonya Marie Mullins Landreth and son-in-law Tim Landreth of Madison; his brother, Leslie Burl Mullins of Denton; five grandchildren, Caswell Alden Mullins (Laura) of North Wales, Pennsylvania, Garrett Brandon Mullins of Greensboro, NC, Katey Tosto Oakley of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Samuel Mason Tosto and Samantha Marie Landreth of Madison; great-grandchildren, Sadie Grace Mullins, and Hazel “Moon” Mullins of North Wales, PA.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 3rd, at the Colonial Funeral Home in Madison.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday July 4th, 2014 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Anthony Craver officiating.
Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.

LEXNGTON — Donald James Myers, 71, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at Reeds Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service and other times at the home. Davidson Funeral Home is serving the family.
KERNERSVILLE — Martha Zane Davis Stafford, 75, died June 30, 2014.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held, with casual dress attire requested by the family, at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 3, 2014 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor David Rorie and Rev. Josh Householder officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Guilford County, Martha was the daughter of the late Annie Motsinger Sullivan and Jesse Stanton Davis. She was a 1957 graduate of Glenn High School. She had worked for almost 44 years with Jefferson-Pilot Insurance Company. She was longtime member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church and was a member of the Davis Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth Ann and a brother Paul Davis. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her, and especially her dog “Sally”.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years Larry Stafford of the home; son, Derek Stafford and wife Billie of Kernersville; grandchildren, Hannah Zane Stafford, Matthew Sullivan Stafford, and Michael Alexander Smith; sisters Betty Ann Davis and Sara Welborn; brother, Thomas Rhyne Davis and wife Gloria; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will visit with friends from 10a.m., until time for the service, in the fellowship hall of the church.

LEXINGTON — James Wade Surratt, 90, of NC Veteran’s Home, Salisbury, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at WG “Bill” Hefner Medical Center in Salisbury.
