Margo R. Atkins
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Margo R. Atkins, age 68, of Burlington, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at her home. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete.
Henry Hugh Cranford
HIGH POINT — Henry Hugh Cranford, 73, formerly of Whittier St., High Point, died Saturday at the Hospice Home at High Point. Born April 19, 1941, in High Point, he is a son of the late Clyde Cranford and Margie Black Cranford.
He is a veteran of the US Army having served in the 1st Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas, and retired from US Furniture Industries after 50 years of service. Mr. Cranford was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandmother Annie Black.
Mr. Cranford is survived by two brothers, Jerry W. Cranford and wife Donna of Trinity and Joe Cranford and wife Kim of High Point, one niece Wendi Sherrill and two nephews, Josh Cranford and Kevin Cranford.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Floral Garden Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.

HIGH POINT — Jack Willis Hunt, 85, passed away peacefully at home on June 18, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Home on E. Lexington Ave., High Point, with Reverend Roy Cantrell officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Other times the family will be at the residence of son, Rick Hunt. Jack attended Wallburg Baptist Church. He retired from Carson's Inc. after working for the company all of his adult life. In his leisure time Jack enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, riding his motorcycle and any activity related to airplanes.
He was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife, Irene, three brothers and four sisters. He is survived by son Rick Hunt (Kay), brother-in-law Robert Hudson (Degayia), grandchildren Christy Palmer (Donald) and Bradley Hunt (Carrie), great-grandchildren Logan Grace Palmer and Cooper Bradley and Sutton Thomas Hunt and many, many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Lloyd Herbert “Poor Boy” Nealey
SHALLOTTE, N.C. — Lloyd Herbert “Poor Boy” Nealey, age 80, of Shallotte passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick in Bolivia.
Mr. Nealey was born May 7, 1934, son of the late McKinzey and Frances Nealey. He was retired from Cascade Die Casting of High Point after 32 years of service. He also was owner of Lloyd”s Trucking.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home, sister, Rose Jacobs of Tabor City, daughters,
Brenda Friedmann and husband, Jeff, of Thomasville and Linda Garrison and husband, Bobby, of Thomasville; stepdaughters, Donna Torrence and husband, Michael, of Salisbury, Mandy Woods and fiancé, Gordy, of Thomasville, Wendy Woods of Kannapolis and Fur Babies Sammy and Nikki; grandchildren, Alischa Hall, Crystal Shoaf, Roby Clodfelter; step-grandchildren, Cassandra Parrish, Adam Parrish, Savannah Slawter and Gavin Stawter; great-grandchildren, Pamela Campbell, Amber Williamson, Cheyenne Justice and Dylan Swaney.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Shell Point Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Milliken officiating. Burial will follow at the Forrest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City at 1:30 p.m. with dedication of the grave by Elder Pete Duncan.
Pallbearers will be Mike Shaw, Richard Mills, Sam Spencer, John Henry Ward, Bobby Garrison, Jeff Friedmann, Jason Long and Cipriano (Cip) Velasquez.
Visitation will be held Monday June 30, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at White Funeral and Cremation Service in Shallotte and the family will receive friends at other times from the home.
