Helen P. Birchall
RANDLEMAN — Helen Pegram Birchall, age 87, of Franklinville died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mrs. Birchall was born January 18, 1927 the daughter of Charles and Swanna Allred Pegram.
Helen was a native of Guilford County and of Wesleyan faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Birchall is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rev. Philip James Birchall, Sr.; brothers, Bernard, Paul, Marshall and James Pegram.
She is survived by her children, Charlotte Robb and her husband Jim of Franklinville, Charles and Andrew Birchall, both of Nashville, TN., Philip Birchall, Jr. and his wife Vivian of Salisbury and David Birchall and his wife Phyllis of Franklinville; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Greenway and her husband Jim of Greensboro.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at Midway Wesleyan Church, 331 Worthville Rd., Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. J. Arnold Luther and Rev. Jerry Lumstom officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

TRINITY — Keith Comer, 58, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014.
A committal service will be held 3 p.m. Monday at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery with a service to celebrate Keith’s life to follow at 7 p.m. at Hope Church in High Point. The family will see friends following the service at the church. Cumby Family Funeral Service of Archdale is in charge of arrangements.
LEXINGTON — Victor Darrell Everhart, 64, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Davidson Funeral Home is serving the family.
ARCHDALE — Edna Louise (Layell) Gallimore, 80, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 at Hospice Home at High Point.
A celebration of life service will be 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, Cumby Family Funeral Service, 206 Trindale Road, Archdale. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
HIGH POINT — Margaret Brown Hope, 78, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014.
The funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25 at Reedy Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Clio, S.C. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Morris Funeral Home of Laurinburg is serving the family.
George E. Morgan
ARCHDALE – Mr. George Edward Morgan, 79, of Archdale, died Thursday, August 21, 2014 at his residence.
A native of Dalton, GA, he was born on August 1, 1935, a son of Delvin Lee and Marguerite Brookshire Morgan. He lived most of his life in the Archdale area, was a crane operator with Freightliner and a veteran of US National Guard. George loved to travel, was an avid walker, played a fiddle in a Bluegrass Band, and loved Bluegrass music. On November 15, 1954, he married the love of his life, Pat Comer. He was of the Church of God faith.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Pat Comer Morgan of the home; a daughter, Marcie Morgan and husband Rev. Dale Morgan of Hillsbough; his mother-in-law, Grace Comer of Albemarle; two grandchildren, Michelle Morgan Anderson and husband Clark, Brittany Morgan Caligiuri and husband Anthony; two great grandchildren, Olivia Grace Caligiuri and Addison Brooke Caligiuri. Also surviving George are sisters, Colleen Hines, Helen Hall, Debra McMahan, Rhonda Reagan, Barbara Young, Sandra Douthit, of High Point and Ruenell Harville of Thomasville; brothers, Sonny Morgan, David Morgan, Andy Morgan, and Buddy Morgan all of High Point.
A service to celebrate the life of George will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2014 in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Dale Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends and family Sunday 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

ARCHDALE — Mr. Steven Timothy “Tim” Schaeffer, 48, of Archdale, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the Hospice Home at High Point.
Born November 11, 1965 in New Castle, Indiana, he was the son of Stuart Dean Schaeffer and Sharon Jo Van Matre Schaeffer. He was a 1984 graduate of Collinsville High School, Collinsville, IL, and a 1988 graduate of the University of Illinois with a major in business economics, and International Academy of Design and Technology. He worked 16 years in Chicago with Bloomingdales, Nieman Marcus, and Versace. He then moved to London, working at the Tower of London. After four years there, he returned to Archdale where his health slowly declined. Tim was outgoing and very much a people person. He has made friends all over the world.
Preceding him in death were his father, Stuart Schaeffer; brother, Scott Owen Schaeffer; an uncle, Phil Van Matre; and grandparents.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon Schaeffer, of Archdale; a brother, Dr. Stanley Dean Schaeffer and wife, Kathlene, of Kernersville; a nephew, Christopher Schaeffer; four cousins, David, Bryan, Greg, and Jordan Van Matre; two uncles, Sidney Van Matre and friend, Henrietta Croker, of Trinity, and Christopher Van Matre and wife, Kay, of Minnesota; and an aunt, Karen Van Matre, of Sidney, OH.
The family will have a memorial service 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Archdale Friends Meeting, officiated by Rev. Rusty Parsons, Rev. Scott Wagoner, and Chaplain Janet Forest. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
