William Spann Dalton
GREENSBORO — William Spann Dalton departed this life March 30, 2013. Known to many who loved him as Bill or Boot, he was born Oct. 2, 1944. Bill was a 1962 graduate of Unity High School in Statesville, N.C. On May 4, 1968, Bill married Bettie Dalton (Johnikin). God blessed Bill and Bettie with two children, Cassandra (Jerry) Brooks and Angela (Jermaine) Porter. Service will take place Friday, April 5, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1505 E. Kivett Drive, High Point, NC 27260. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hargett Funeral Service, Greensboro.
Rubymae Lavon Garrison
HIGH POINT — Mrs. Rubymae Lavon Garrison, age 85, of High Point, passed away March 31, 2013, at Greensboro Manor Assisted Living Center.
Mrs. Garrison was born May 7, 1927, in Basin, Wyo., to Edmond H. and Ollie Edwards Phillips. She was a graduate of Rhema Bible College and was a computer operator for Eckridge Company. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Garrison was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Eugene Garrison.
Surviving are her sons: Galen E. Garrison of Aurora, Colo.; Stephen L. Garrison of High Point; and Greg P. Garrison of LaGrange, Ind.
There are three grandchildren; Caroline Ortega of Illinois; Christian Garrison of Aurora, Colo., Ryan Garrison of Kendallville, Ind.; and three great-grandchildren: Shelby Allen, Carter Garrison, and Cameron Garrison, all of Aurora, Colo.

Jessie Lee Douglas Jones
HIGH POINT — Jessie Lee Douglas Jones, 69, died April 2, 2013 at High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1943 to the late Floyd A. Jones and Zella Jones Jones. He is survived by his wife Betty Jones; sons Douglas, Russell and Teddy Jones; daughter, Dawn Jones; seven grandchildren; one step-grandson; brothers, Mart Jones, Floyd A. Jones and C.W. Jones; and sisters, Florence Hill, Mary Lawson, Nightingale Jones and Sandra Toombs. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Monroe Jones and Bobby Ray Jones.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 5, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hanes Linebery Sedgefield Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial park.

Jewell Colleen Myers
THOMASVILLE — Mrs. Jewell Colleen Whitlock Myers, 84, a resident of Pine Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center and formerly of E. Holly Grove Road, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Pine Ridge. She was born on Sept. 19, 1928, in Davidson County, N.C., to John Daniel Whitlock and Nettie Leonard Whitlock. She worked in the print shop at the Baptist Children’s Home in Thomasville and a member of Liberty Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the WMU.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Willard Myers on Sept. 11, 2010.
Surviving are her three sons, Rick Myers and wife Lynn of Lexington, Lynn Myers, and Kenneth Myers and wife Diane, all of Thomasville; sister, Carol Shaw of Yaupon Beach, N.C.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. David Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Myers will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will be at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Liberty Baptist Church, 225 Liberty Ave. Thomasville, NC 27360. Elisha Renee Skeen
LEXINGTON — Mrs. Elisha Renee Skeen, 31, resident of Denton, died April 2nd, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
Mrs. Skeen was born March 5th, 1982, in Guilford County and had been a resident of this area all her life. She was a registered nurse with Thomasville Medical Center and a member of The Mission Church. On October 24th, 2009 she married Steven Skeen who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are her parents, Ted and Cindy Hill of Thomasville; a son, Sawyer Skeen of the home; three sisters, Karen Younger, Holly Fausnett and Amanda Hill all of Thomasville; a brother, Kevin Ashton of Orlando, FL; and paternal grandmother, Joan Hill of Thomasville. She was a loving mother, wife and daughter and will be missed dearly by her family.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Thomasville with Rev. John Langdon officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292.
