Hilda Jessup
THOMASVILLE — Hilda Jessup died Aug. 25, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House. Arrangements are incomplete with Thomasville Funeral Home.

Ahmir Armstrong
HIGH POINT — Baby boy, Ahmir Ja’lani Armstrong, died Aug. 21, 2013, at High Point Regional Hospital. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday  at the chapel of Johnson and Sons Funeral Home.

Janellen Brady
RAMSEUR — Janellen Altone  Brady, 73,  died Aug. 24, 2013. A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held immediately following the service.

Evelyn Davis
THOMASVILLE — Evelyn (Dee) Pirolozzi Davis, 65, died Aug, 24, 2013, at the Hospice Home at High Point. There will not be a formal visitation or service.  J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville is assisting the family.

Austin Chatterton
THOMASVILLE — Austin Phillip Chatterton, 19, a lifelong resident of Davidson County, passed away on Friday August 23, 2013. He was born May 26, 1994, in Davidson County, a son of Rebekah Chatterton and Jerry Torrence. He was a student at Davidson County Community College pursuing a degree in welding. Austin enjoyed fishing, all animals and any outdoor activity. He lived life to the fullest taking nothing for granted especially the love for his family. He was a wonderful father and a great son who could light up any room when he entered.
He is survived by his beautiful daughter, Maci Chatterton and his mother Rebekah Chatterton both of Thomasville. Maternal survivors are his grandparents, Charles and Reba Chatterton, aunt, Rachel Skoog and husband Trenton of Charlotte, uncles; Jeremy Chatterton and wife Carrie of VA., and Chatt Chatterton of Thomasville; great grandmother, Grace Jenkins of VA., and great aunts; Doris Chatterton and Marie Wilson both of VA.
Austin is survived by his father, Jerry Torrence of Lexington and paternal survivors are grandparents, Buddy and Vicky Torrence of Lexington, aunts; Bambi Torrence and Tonya Torrence and husband Jeremy Gober, uncles; Michael Torrence and Shannon Torrence, all of Lexington. He also leaves behind numerous beloved cousins from Lexington as well as in Virginia.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. in J.C. Green & Sons Chapel, no interment will follow, with Elder Mike Greaser officiating.  The family will receive friends and family on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Wanda Ilderton
HIGH POINT — Wanda Trogdon Ilderton, 86, died Aug. 24, 2013, at the Hospice Home at High Point.  Funeral arrangements will be announced by Cumby Family Funeral Service.

Darrell Franklin Logan
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Darrell Franklin Logan, 85, a longtime resident of Randolph County, died Saturday, August 24, 2013, at the High Point Regional Health System.  He was born on August 30, 1927, in Guilford County to Claude and Lois Logan.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during WWII and a member of Zion United Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lucille Wall Logan on December 21, 2005, whom he married on December 21, 1946; and a son, Terry Franklin Logan.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Logan Tucker and husband Ardel of Trinity; one son, Randall Craig Logan and wife Rhonda of Silver Valley; brother, Bobby Logan and wife Betty of Maryland; four grandchildren, Bennie Ray Johnston and wife Kim, Terry Logan, Jr., Shannon Milliam Farson and husband Kyle, and Robbie Ray Snider and wife Tracey; and several loving great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. James Simonds officiating.  Interment with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. and at other times at the home of his daughter, Sherry Tucker in Trinity.  Memorials may be directed to Zion UCC, 130 Hasty School Rd.
