Robert Wade Auman
HIGH POINT — Robert “Bob” Wade Auman, 78, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013, at Hospice Home at High Point. He was the loving husband of the late Nancy Lee (Branton) Auman.
Mr. Auman was born on October 17, 1934 in High Point, a son of the late Thomas Leighton and Stella (Bailey) Auman. He was a former self employed truck driver for 20 years until his retirement.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was also a member of the High Point Moose Club from 1962 and the American Legion from 1959.
Mr. Auman is survived by three daughters, Ann Spaugh and her husband, Lindsay of Archdale, Peggy Pierce of Winston-Salem, and Penny Winchester and her husband, Mark of Randleman; four grandchildren, Heather Luther of Archdale, Holly Weddle and her husband, Mike of Kernersville, Bailee Pierce and Jordan Pierce both of Winston-Salem; two great grandchildren, Ramsey Luther of Archdale and Keri Weddle of Kernersville; two brothers, Gale Auman and his wife, Norma of Trinity and Carl Auman of Trinity; a sister, Nancy Walker and her husband, Bobby of High Point; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steve Pierce.
A celebration of life memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2013, at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point with Rev. Eric Peacock officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park. A visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262 and to Salvation Army, P.O. Box 300, High Point, NC 27262.

Billie Ruth Skeen
FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. — Billie Ruth Wilkenson Pilcher Skeen, 79, died Thursday August 22, 2013.
Mrs. Skeen was born July 2, 1934 in High Point, N.C. to the late Paul C. Pilcher and Ruth Livingston Pilcher.
Surviving are three sons, Jay, Jeff, and John Skeen; a daughter Jill Santana; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Philip Pilcher.
Visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Floral Garden Park Cemetery, 1730 West English Road, High Point, N.C. 27262.
