Sue T. Beck
LEXINGTON – Sue Thompson Beck, age 84, of Lexington passed away Monday evening. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday (12-06-2012) in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.


Harold Alexander Bunn
TRINITY – Mr. Harold Alexander Bunn, 73, a resident of 4039 Kennedy Court, went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Hospice Home of High Point. He was born in Guilford County, September 14, 1939 a son of Hubert Bunn and Gertrude Kidd Bunn and was a lifelong resident of this area. He had retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries, Plant B and was a member of New Heights Baptist Church where he was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class. He was a musician and had played bass guitar and harmonica in his church and in various groups for many years. Surviving are his wife, Linda Ann Covert Bunn of the home; a daughter, Kathy Lynn Reddick and her husband Stanley of Trinity; two sons, Jeffery Allen Bunn and his wife Debbie of Longs, SC and Robert Michael Bunn and his wife Susie of Lexington; two step-sons, Michael (Mike) Murray and his wife Vickie of Greensboro and Tim Murray and his wife Charlene of Level Cross. Also surviving are five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson Jake Bunn and by a brother Charles Allen Bunn. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 AM at New Heights Baptist Church by the Rev. Roger Porter. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point. The body will remain at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 until 8 PM and other times at the residence. Mariam Ann Delk
ARCHDALE – Mariam Ann Delk of Archdale, died November 28, 2012  in Ilinois.  She was born June 1, 1924 a daughter of the late Scott Robbins and Elta Clark Robbins.  Mrs. Delk moved to North Carolina in 1976 when she married Mitchell Delk.  He died February 20, 2000.  She is survived by one son Dennis McClelland (Karen) of Peoria, Illinois.  She is also survived by an ex daughter-in-law Penny McClelland Greenwood, six grandchildren, Elizabeth McClelland Greenwood, Andrew McClelland Greenwood, Anna Greenwood, Hamilton Greenwood, Benjamin Greenwood and Rachel Greenwood and five great grandsons.  She moved back to Illinois in 2011 to be cared for by Penny and family.
She was a circuit clerk in Pontiac, Illinois and after moving to North Carolina was a co-owner of J & D Commercial Refrigeration.
She is a former member of Thomasville Assembly of God in Thomasville where she was a Sunday school teacher and involved in Women’s Ministry.  While homebound she was ministered to by Pastor Billy Myers of Archdale Assembly of God.
She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Mitchell following graveside services at 2:00 pm Friday, December 7th in Piney Grove Church Cemetery in Jackson Creek, NC with Pastor Billy Myers officiating.

Annie Freeman
LEXINGTON — Annie Sowers Freeman, 77, of Lexington died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, December 7, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington. A graveside service will be held following the service at the Sandy Creek Cemetery in Tyro. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home.


Randall Wayne Gibson
March 15, 1951 – December 3, 2012
WAKE FOREST – Randall “Randy” Wayne Gibson, age 61, of Wake Forest, NC, passed away at his home on Monday evening, December 3, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
Randy was born in High Point, NC. Throughout his career, Randy lived and worked in Cullowhee, NC, Deer Lodge, MT, and for the past 28 years in Wake Forest, NC.  He worked as the Executive Director of the Corps Community Center for The Salvation Army in Raleigh and later worked as a supervisor for Kane Realty and most recently retired from the City of Raleigh. Randy was an active member of the community and spent a great deal of his time with friends at Paschal Golf Course. One of his favorite activities was playing Santa Claus during the holiday season over the past 26 years.
A memorial service will be held at 10 o’clock Saturday morning, December 8, 2012 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.
Randy is survived by his wife, Marti Gibson of the family home; his sons, Daniel Gibson of Cullowhee, NC, and Zane Gibson of Salisbury, NC; his mother, Mary T. Gibson of Jamestown, NC. In addition, he is also survived by sister-in-law, Patti (and Dave) Vernon of Bolingbrook, IL; brothers-in-law Rev. Tommy (and Cathy) Malin of Wilson, NC and Dan (and Tracey) Malin of Flushing, MI; multiple nieces and nephews to include Trevor (and Lechelle) Vernon-Yates of Greensboro, NC, Dina (and Brad) Freeman of Naperville, IL and Sarah Malin and Katie Pittman, both of Wilson, NC; three great-nephews, and a host of cousins and extended family and friends.  Randy is preceded in death by his father, the late Fain W. Gibson.

Peggy Kinney Johnson
ARCHDALE – Mrs. Peggy Kinney Johnson, age 78, died Monday, December 3rd at her residence.
A lifelong resident of this area, Peggy was born October 11, 1934 in Thomasville a daughter of the late Callie Beeson Kinney and the late Glenn Kinney. She retired from Brayton International after twenty years of employment and was a member of Pilot View Baptist Church. On November 17, 1951 she married Robert Y. “Bobby” Johnson who survives of the home.
Also surviving are her daughter, Lisa Farmer and her husband Rick of Trinity; a son Jeff Johnson and his wife Judy of Thomasville; one sister, Nancy Haltom and her husband Ray of Thomasville; three step-sisters, Juanita Wright, Betty Beck and her husband Bobby of Trinity and Jamie Lomax of Florida; Two grandchildren, Ashley Farmer and her fiancé Thomas Cribbs and Jason Farmer and his wife Natalie; one step-grandson, Brandon Murphy and his wife Brooke and one great-grandson, Caleb Murphy.    
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in Pilot View Baptist Church in Thomasville with Rev. Robert Summers and Rev. Bynum Orr officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 pm Wednesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
The family would like to express their thanks to Remy and Misty and all other staff members at Hospice of the Piedmont and to Dr. Vallathuchemy Harish and the staff at Emerywood Hematology and Oncology that gave such wonderful Care to our loved one.

George William Mitchell Jr.
CHARLOTTE – George William Mitchell, Jr., 84, died suddenly at his home in Charlotte, N.C. on Thursday evening, November 29, 2012.
Bill, as he was known to family and friends, was born in High Point, N.C. on October 23, 1928. He was the son of the late George William Mitchell, Sr. and Frances Jones Mitchell.
Bill attended High Point City Schools and graduated from High Point High School in 1945. He was well liked and respected by his classmates, and had the honor of being the morning news announcer. The recipient of an Alumni Scholarship, Bill attended Duke University, graduating with the class of 1948. He maintained his many childhood and college friendships by attending class reunions and luncheons.
Following his graduation from Duke with an engineering degree, Bill entered the business world and established several successful businesses. Until his retirement in 1994, Bill was the owner and CEO of I.C.E. Corporation. He designed and contracted numerous state of the art ice manufacturing plants and was a major distributor of equipment to the commercial ice industry.
Bill had a wide variety of personal and professional interests. An avid reader, he loved books and read several newspapers daily. He also enjoyed researching his family ancestry, watching business and informative TV programs, computers, Duke Basketball, working in his yard and household projects. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Billie, visiting most of the states in the United States and many foreign countries. As well as relaxing with his family at their second home in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Eloise Mitchell Chatham-Tyson, most recently by his brother-in-law Samuel Coe “S.C.” Easter and by many loving relatives and friends.
He married Billie Jean Richard, a high school classmate, in 1948.
A devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, Bill is survived by his beloved wife Billie Richard Mitchell, son William “Rick” Mitchell, daughter Millicent Ann Mitchell, grandson Mitchell Abdullah, sister Mevelyn Mitchell Easter and nephews Taft and Ted Chatham.
A family memorial service and celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a future date.

ASHEBORO – Faye Dean Williamson Shaw, age 66, of 320 Old Liberty Rd., Asheboro died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 100 North Main Street, Randleman with Pastor Chris Heppding officiating.  Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.

Mrs. Amber Cary Prock Willis, 39 went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on the morning of November 30, 2012.   Funeral services for Amber have been changed to 1 Pm Thursday at Green Street Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in Centre Friends Meeting Cemetery.  The family will greet friends Wednesday evening at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point.
