ARCHDALE — Mr. William David (Dave) Harris, 88, a resident of Archdale, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at High Point Regional Hospital. He was born in Davidson County, July 8, 1925, a son of Joseph Robert Harris and Mary Everhart Harris and had been a lifelong resident of the Thomasville area. He was a US Marine Corp veteran of World War II and was of the Methodist faith. He was a retired upholsterer. On December 10, 1950, he was married to Mary Lou Huffman who survives of the home. Also surviving is a daughter, Ginger Bryant and her husband Milton of Thomasville; two sons, David Harris and his wife Sherri of Trinity and Roger Harris of Archdale; a sister, Clara Ferrell of Archdale; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Conrad and by brothers, Joseph R. Harris, E. Ray Harris, and Austin Harris. No formal services will be held. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the home of Ginger and Milton Bryant, 11 Wexford Circle, Thomasville, NC. Burkley H. (Billy) Rayfield III
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Burkley Howard (Billy) Rayfield, III, 55, a resident of Misty Drive, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at his home. He was born on October 5, 1958, in Cabarrus County, N.C., to the late Burkley Howard Rayfield, Jr. and the late Mae Ashlyn Beaver Rayfield. He worked at Stroupe Mirror Company in Thomasville for 30 years as a supervisor.
On December 17, 2010, he married Susan Jean Garner, who survives of the home; also surviving are his children, Cindy Freeman of Texas, Chris Calder and wife Gretchen of Concord, N.C., Branden Lewis and wife Amanda of Thomasville, Burkley H. Rayfield, IV and fiancée Crystal of Thomasville, and Zachary Rayfield and fiancée Amber Martin of Thomasville; brother, Scotty Rayfield of Thomasville; sister, Sherry Barnhardt and husband Don of Tyro; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. James (Jim) G. Beal, Sr., 79, a resident of Thomasville, N.C., passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013, at his residence.
Jim was born October 19, 1934, in Chatham County, N.C., a son of the late William Baxter Beal and Willie Beal Beal. He had made this area his home for the past 58 years. Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was owner and operator of Beal’s Roofing & Siding and was also a former employee of Lowe’s Distribution. Jim liked to go fishing rabbit hunting, training and running beagle dogs and gardening. He was a member of the Father’s House in High Point. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Victor Beal, Herbert Beal and Claudis Earl Beal. On January 19, 1952, he married Hazel Gray who survives of the home.
Also surviving is his sons, Grady Beal, Jr. and wife Cindy of Thomasville, Timothy (Tim) Lee Beal and wife Frances of Trinity; a daughter, Dianne Beal Childress and husband Thomas of Lexington; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Elizabeth (Sis) Wright of Sanford.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Pershing Hagerman and Rev. Lewis Coltren officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and other times at the residence. Margie Pruitt Martin
THOMASVILLE — Mrs. Margie Ella Pruitt Martin, 84, died Sunday, December 1, 2013, at the Hinkle Hospice House. She was born on August 13, 1929, in Richlands, VA, to Levi Pruitt and Mary Powers Pruitt. She retired from TFI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Goldie Crawford, Katherine Byrd, and Ida Hutchinson.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Passmore and husband Faron; sister, Ollie Trent; grandson, Jamie Jackman all of Thomasville; great-granddaughter, Lilly Jackman; 2 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; 2 nephews; and 5 nieces.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Floyd Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Lick Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.

LEXINGTON — Jacqueline “Jackie” Frank Hege, 77, of Lexington, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Good Hope United Methodist Church. Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel is serving the family.
