Floyd Grant Cobb
HIGH POINT — Mr. Floyd Grant “F.G.” Cobb, 66, of High Point was called to his final resting place on Wednesday, Oct. 30,2013, at Hospice Home at High Point.
F.G. was born Jan. 15, 1947, in Dillon, S.C., to the late Joe and Sadie Rogers Cobb. He was resident of High Point for most of his life. He was married to the late Nellie Cobb and was a member of First Emmanuel Church. He worked for Duke Chemical for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents; two brothers, Joe Cobb Jr. and Curtis Cobb; two sisters, Mary Ann Rogers and Mae Ella Hamilton.
Left to cherish his loving memories are six daughters, Renee (Jim) Taylor, Teresa Cobb, Ann (Johnny) Chandler, Jakisha (Jimmy) Brown, Jakima (Larry) Ledbetter and Mary Williams, all of High Point; five brothers, Melvin Cobb, Richard (Harriet) Cobb, the Rev. Danny (Linda) Rogers, all of High Point, David (Lumia) Cobb of Thomasville and David Davis of Greensboro; five sisters, Daisy (James) Burton, Deborah (Thomas) Anderson, Annie Rogers, Margret Rogers, and Mary Cobb, all of High Point; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two aunts; a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at First Emmanuel Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Campbell, eulogist. Family visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Piedmont Memorial Gardens, Winston Salem. A guestbook is available online at  Professional arrangements entrusted to People’s Funeral & Cremation Services.

Anthony Dochtermann
RANDLEMAN — Anthony James Dochtermann, 25, of Randleman, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ridge Funeral Home, where visitation will be held 12:30-2 p.m. Wednesday.

Nathaniel Jackson
HIGH POINT — Nathaniel Jackson, 67, of High Point died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Triad Care & Rehabilitation Center.  People’s Funeral & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

Van Carlton Jones
ARCHDALE — Van Carlton Jones of Archdale, N.C., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 2 unexpectedly.
Van was born on Nov. 7, 1958 and graduated from Trinity Senior High School.
Van was married to Debbie Penley Jones on March 1, 1978, and was happily married for 35-plus years.
Van was preceded in death by parents Garland and Louise Jones .
Van worked as a driver for Kellogg’s in Greensboro, N.C., for the past 29 years and was awarded several safety awards during his tenure. Van enjoyed camping, antiquing, tinkering with his tools, but most importantly spending quality time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Van loved to talk, laugh and never met a stranger. He will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, and  specially known as “Pop-Pop” to his granddaughters. He was active and sang in his church choir.
The visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Cumby Family Funeral Services in Archdale from 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at Trinity Heights Wesleyan Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by Cumby Family Funeral Services.
Van is survived by wife Debbie, sons Jason Jones, Timothy Jones; his daughter-law Samantha Jones, his granddaughters Layla, Hayley, and Charleigh and sister Gena Parnell (Kevin); his sister-in-law Linda Pardue (James) and brother-in-law David Penley (Beth),  as well  as a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. His church family was also very dear to him.

Ronald G. Lee
Mr. Ronald G. Lee, age 80, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday Nov. 3, 2013.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point with Chaplin Craig Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the residence of his son.
A native of Guilford County, Mr. Lee was born Dec. 4, 1932, in High Point the son of Oscar Lee and Eunice Suggs Lee and the grandson of O.C. and Edna Suggs and Willis and Ethel Lee. Ronald retired in 1989, after 35 years of service with Harris & Covington Hosiery and then volunteered for several years at High Point Regional Hospital. Mr. Lee enjoyed reading and studying the bible and also watching NASCAR, football and especially golf. In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Andrew Lee; two sisters, Marlene Magee of Blacksburg, Virginia and Sandra Wright of Hampton, Virginia; two half-brothers, Michael Gibson of Yorktown , Virginia and Milton Lee of Campeche, Mexico.
Survivors include Ronald Gary Lee, Jr. and his wife Robin of High Point; a daughter Regina Dawn Lee of Greensboro; a granddaughter, Emma Schram and three grandsons, Nathan Lee, Jeremy Yerdon and Elijah Schram; and two great-grandchildren, Landon Storm Lee and Gavin Andrew Lee. Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Wayne Wright of Manteo; two nieces, Karen McCollum of Lynchburg, Va., and Kim Tyler of Harrisburg, Va., and three nephews, Kevin Magee of Suffolk, Va., Tim Wright of Newport News, Va., and Steve Wright of Manteo.
The family would like to especially thank Jerry and Judy Steelman and Bill Tyler for their companionship and the time spent with our dad. Additionally the family expresses their appreciation to the entire staff at Westchester Manor particularly the staff on the 200 hall and to the staff at Hospice of the Piedmont for their special care during the past few weeks.

Minnie Parrish
DENTON — Minnie “Lois” Gallimore Parrish, 80, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Mount Vista Nursing Home in Denton.

Ronald Austin Parrish
THOMASVILLE — Ronald “Ronnie” Austin Parrish, 62, of Thomasville, N.C., went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at the Hinkle Hospice House of Lexington, N.C. He was born March 26, 1951, in Davidson County to Austin and Gladys Parrish. Ronnie was employed with Thomasville Furniture for 35 years. He is preceded in death by his father, Austin Parrish, and granddaughter, Savannah Joseph.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Benfield Parrish of 45 years; daughter, Tammy Joseph of New York; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Gladys Parrish; and sister Judy Shipton (LeeRoy) of Lexington, N.C. Ronnie was a faithful member, deacon, trustee, and choir member of Hillside Park Baptist Church and loved his pastor Steven Chipps and church family.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Hillside Park Baptist Church with Dr. Steven Chipps officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8  p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at Hillside Park Baptist Church located at 7593 E. Holly Grove Road, Thomasville, NC  27360. Memorials may be directed to Hillside Park Baptist Church, Building or Needy Fund at P. O. Box 441, Thomasville, NC 27361.

LEXINGTON —Inez Mary Roberts Stanley, 84, of Lexington Health Care, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at the nursing facility.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial follows at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home.
