Nancy Jane Lawson
HIGH POINT — Mrs. Nancy Jane Lawson, a resident of High Point, left us on September 30, 2013, at High Point Regional Hospital. Nancy was born December 7, 1932, in Latrobe, PA, the daughter of Peter Paul and Edith Henderson Lawson. While living in Naples, FL, she graduated from nursing school and worked at Naples Community Hospital. She and her husband William G. Lawson moved to Jamestown in 1981, and she was a nurse at Pennybyrn at Maryfield for more than 20 years before retiring.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband in 2003.
Surviving are her children, Olivia Kathleen Binkley and husband Calvin, Eric William Lawson and wife Arleen, Brent H. Lawson and wife Lori, Edith Ann Long and husband Brian, Amy L. Tedder and husband David. She is also survived by her brother, Peter Paul “Sonny” Lechner and wife Jo Ann from Latrobe, PA. She is survived by grandchildren, Justine Egbert, Peter Binkley, Eric G. Lawson, Shawn Lawson, Jessica Collins, Nancy Long, Ashley Tedder, Katelyn Lawson, seven great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Vanstory Chapel, 1900 Vanstory St., Greensboro, NC 27403 on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Private family entombment services will be held at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Larry Bradford Walker
GREENSBOROO — Larry Bradford Walker, 55, ended his life’s journey peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at his home in Greensboro, NC, following a period of declining health.
Larry was a man who loved his friends and family wholeheartedly, he never met a stranger, was the life of the party and was loved by everyone.
Larry was a generous man and an organ donor. His wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of his life will be Saturday, October 5, at 4:00 p.m. at Guilford Baptist Church. Longtime friend, Reverend Tim Carter will be officiating. On Friday, October 4, the family will receive friends in the sanctuary at Guilford Baptist Church from 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
Larry was born in Oneida, NY, on December 13, 1957. He graduated from Tunstall High School, VA, in 1976. He was a gifted carpenter and owned his own construction business for years in Danville, VA. While living in Greensboro, he worked at Mickey Truck Body for nine years.
Larry is survived by his wife Kimberly Todome-Walker, mother Virginia Walker Heck-Slaughter and step-father Garland Slaughter of Greensboro, brother Mark Walker and wife Cheryl of Hickory; sister Barbie Fulk and husband Rodney of Browns Summit; children Daniel Bradford, Marissa and Nick of Danville, VA; Uncle Tom Taylor and wife Brenda of Wilmington; aunts Sharon Taylor and Marie Taylor of Pelham, NC; four nephews, Paul and wife Leeann from Midlothian, VA; Corey Walker from Gastonia, NC; Ryan and Tanner Fulk of Browns Summit ; cousins Brian Taylor of Danville, VA; Charles Taylor and Carlene Wilson of Providence, NC, and many other family & friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Charles Walker of Danville, aunt Beeda Wright of Danville, VA, uncle Charlie Taylor, Jr. of Pelham; maternal grandparents Charles and Thelma Taylor of Munnsville; paternal grandparents Maurice and Ellen Walker of Eaton, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fellowship Hall, 5140 Dunston Rd., Greensboro, NC 27405 or to Guilford Baptist Church, 5904 W. Market St., Greensboro, NC 27410.
