Dorothy (Dot) Taylor Byrley
TRINITY — Dorothy Taylor Byrley (Dot) of Trinity, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013.
Dot was the daughter of the late Earnest Taylor and Margarite Horne Taylor. She was raised in the Jamestown area. On December 20, 1953, she married Clifford F. Byrley, who preceded her in death on November 1, 2007. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Taylor Jones, brother-in-law, Jack Ray Jones, and their sons, Allen Ray Jones and Steve Jones.
Surviving include her sons, Frankie Byrley and wife Mary of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Tony Byrley of Conway, SC; daughter, Wendy Byrley of Trinity; grandchildren, Christy Byrley Barnhart and husband Travis, Brian Byrley, and Heather Byrley; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Taylor and wife Sharon, and Johnny Taylor; and lots of great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Dot’s life will be held on Friday, April 26, at 11 a.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale Chapel, with Pastor David Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 25, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale.

LAUREL, MD – Brian Keith Easter, known as “Black” (Keithie), 43, went to eternal rest on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, with his loved ones at his side. He was born August 29, 1969, in High Point, NC, to Mary Easter Johnson and the late Fletcher M. Mills.
Brian attended Guilford County Schools and later furthered his education at North Carolina A&T State University, where he majored in Computer Engineering. He later moved to Laurel, MD. Throughout his life he was known for his humorous behavior and his athletic ability.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Meredith Murray Easter of the home; two sons, Brandon K. Easter of Greensboro, NC, and Kaleb W. Dickerson of Alexandria, VA; his mother, Mary E. Johnson of High Point, NC; grandfather, Benjamin Godfrey of High Point, NC; two sisters, Tijuana (Richard) Greene and Tori Johnson; three brothers, Anthony Johnson, Darren (LaTisha) Johnson and Shawn Pope, all of High Point, NC; two aunts, Doris Adams of High Point, NC, and Shelia Rankin of Rochester, NY; two uncles, Leroy (Judy) Easter and Ellwood Easter, both of Rochester, NY; mother-in-law, Sandra Murray of High Point, NC; one sister-in-law, Phaedra (Robert) Jefferies, both of High Point, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 12:00 p.m. at First Emmanuel Baptist Church, 831 Leonard Avenue, High Point, NC. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens, Jamestown, NC.

June Watson Hunter
WINSTON-SALEM — Mrs. June Watson Hunter of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Hunter was born in Forsyth County to Alfred and Amie Watson. She graduated from Wheaton College in 1948 and later from Nyack University in 1951. Mrs. Hunter retired from Asheboro City Schools in 1987 after 32 1⁄2 years teaching. She was a member and former teacher of the Maple Springs UMC Fellowship Class and the United Methodist Women of Maple Springs. She loved music and singing in the choir and was a member of Old Town Woman’s Club.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Billy Hunter of the home; a son, Rev. Jon Hunter of Salisbury; sisters-in-law, Ruby Myers of Union Grove, Evelyn Hunter of Advance, Faye Hunter of East Bend and Margaret Hunter of Roanoke, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Maple Springs United Methodist Church with Dr. Randy Waugh officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 -8 p.m. Friday at Salem Funeral Home, 2599 Reynolda Rd. (Intersection of Reynolda and Polo roads.). Memorials may be made to Kate B.
