Ms. Mildred Kathleen “Kat” Foster Hinkle, 80, resident of 4220 Wedgewood Terrace died May 25, 2013 at High Point Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Hinkle was born June 3, 1932 in Lexington, NC, a daughter to the late Arthur and Sadie Crotts Foster. A resident of this area all her life, she was a member of Charity Baptist Church and retired from The Korner Kitchen, where she worked as a waitress. She also had worked at Influential Hosiery Mill and was the manager of the Sheraton Hotel Dining Room. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Hinkle Briggs and husband Dayton of New London and Kathy Hinkle Rimmer and husband Don of Lexington; a son, Kenny Hinkle of Thomasville; four sisters, Doris Cecil of High Point, Betty Palmer of Trinity, Carole Webb of Trinity and Pattie (Cookie) Furr of Trinity; two brothers, George Foster of Lexington and Edgar Foster of High Point; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also had three grandchildren, Bryan Trotter, Holli Millikan and Kenny Hinkle Jr. and thirteen great grandchildren, all of whom she helped raise and loved dearly. Her future great-great grandson, Eli, is due in August and a life-long friend, Rachel Duty.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC 27262. THOMASVILLE — Mr. Robert William Kindley, 84, a resident of 614 Russell Summey Dr. died, Sunday, May 26, 2013 in Pine Ridge Health and Rehab.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Hughes Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville, NC and other times at the home of the son, Donald Kindley 633 Russell Summey Dr. Thomasville, NC 27360.
LEXINGTON — Thomas Allison Fritts, 67, of S. NC Highway 150, died Monday, May 27, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at his home. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.

HIGH POINT — Mrs. Ethel Martin Bowden, 88, died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point, N.C.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Church of God of Prophecy in Ellerbe, N.C.

ASHEBORO — Ethan Michael Smith, 23, died on May 25, 2013 in Asheboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Thomasville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday May 29, 2013 in the chapel of the funeral home followed by interment in Floral Gardens Memorial Park in High Point.
