Herman Grice, Jr.
TRINITY — Herman Grice, Jr., age 79, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at home. He was born March 5, 1934, in Tabor City, NC to the late Herman and Lola Canady Grice, Sr.
As a beloved husband and father, Herman, enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors, fishing and most of all his family. He enjoyed his love of woodworking while working for almost 30 years at Brookdale Inc. in Thomasville, NC. One of his most enjoyable past times was spending summer days fishing on the lake with the ones he loved. Herman never met a stranger and anyone who had the joy meeting him knew he always had a smile on his face and a laugh in his heart. His greatest accomlishment in life was his loving family. To his wife he was a devoted husband of 55 years. To his children he was a wonderful father and to his granchildren he was a proud and loving PawPaw. He will be missed beyond words and will forever and always be loved.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Clara Grainger Grice of the home, one son Jerry Grice of Trinity, NC; one daughter Brenda Grice Reyna of Trinity, NC; two sisters Mildred Scott of Thomasville, NC and Joyce Cagle of Florence, SC; three brothers Thomas Dale Grice of High Point, NC, Mitchell Wayne Grice of Winston Salem, NC and Vernon Woody Grice of Florence, SC; grandchildren Gabriela Leija, Marco Villanueva, Herman Andrew Grice IV, Carolyn Grice, Jonathan Grice, Michelle Greene, Sarah Bowling, Lauren Bowling, Corey Wyatt and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons Michael Wayne Grice, Herman Grice III, two sisters Betty Ward, Barbara Searcy and a step grandson Casey James Dinnoff.
A funeral service will be offered 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, from the Archdale Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, 206 Trindale Road, Archdale, NC 27263. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Park in High Point.
Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Cumby Family Funeral Service of Archdale.

WINSTON-SALEM — Cynthia Sue Sells Turner, 69, died May 25, 2013. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at other times at the home. HIGH POINT — William Shelton Fielder, 75, passed away at his residence on Friday, May 24, 2013. Shelton was born in Wilkes County to the late Charles William and France Ina Soots Fielder on August 28, 1937. He was a member of the United States Air Force during peace time. Shelton worked as a journeyman printer for the Greensboro News and Record.
Shelton is survived by many cousins and will be sadly missed by all who know him.
There will be a Graveside Service on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, 1 p.m. at Floral Garden Memorial Park.

HIGH POINT — Carolyn R. Bodenheimer, 74, of High Point died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at High Point Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Union Cross Moravian Church Graveyard. She will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home, 10301 N.NC Hwy. 109, Winston-Salem and the family will receive friends Tuesday from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
