LEXINGTON  — Hayes Junior Frizzell, 85, of Baney Drive, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at Lexington Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be held  2:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home.

HIGH POINT — Jacqueline Kay Johnson, 57, of 400 Underhill St., died on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Johnnie Martin
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Johnnie C. Martin, 81, formerly of High Point, died April 17, 2013, at Fort Wayne, Ind. Visitation will be held noon-2 p.m. Sunday at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point. A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. at Cedar Falls Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Danbury, N.C. 


James Maurice Perkins Jr.
James Maurice Perkins, Jr., 70, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013, at his residence with family by his side. He was the loving husband of Mary (Lowe) Perkins to whom he was married to for 34 years.
Mr. Perkins was born on Aug. 22, 1942, in Jacksonville, Fla., to the late James Maurice and Ann (Arden) Perkins. He was a graduate of Jacksonville University. He was a  manager with State Farm Insurance for 40 years until his retirement.
Mr. Perkins was a U.S. Navy veteran as a Petty Officer in the ASW branch.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where he was the finance chairman, sang in the choir, and was president of the United Methodist Men’s Club. He also received the Lay Person of the Year Award.
Mr. Perkins was a Scottish and York Rite Mason, as well as a Shriner. 
In addition to his wife, Mr. Perkins is survived by a daughter, Lisa Ann Stewart and her husband, Lee of High Point; two sisters, Eleanor P. Lyon and her husband, Wilford, Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and Maurine P. Choate and her husband, Dick of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Thomas Arden Perkins and his wife, Peggy of High Point; three grandchildren, Anne Elaine Stewart, Mac Stewart and Alexander Jacob Stewart.
A celebration of life memorial service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Christ United Methodist Church, 1300 N. College Drive, High Point, with Rev. Matt Farbow and Rev. Jeff Martin officiating. A visitation will be held after the service.

Mike E. Wilkins
ROANOKE, Va. — Mike E. Wilkins, 58, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Ellington Wilkins. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Wilkins; daughter, Bridgett Marshall; son, Mychal Wilkins; granddaughter, McKenzie; parents, George and Jackie Hawkins; mother-in-law, Polly Bryant; brother, Ronnie Wilkins and wife, Janice; sisters, Janie Mock and husband, Ron, Penny McSwain and husband, Steve; brother-in-laws, Kenny Bryant and wife, Margaret, Willie Bryant; sister-in-law, Chris Allen; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Mike was a master refinisher for 30 years plus. He was owner and operator of Wilkins Refinishing, specializing in antique furniture. The family would like to thank all the loyal customers throughout the years.
A big thank you to all the doctors and nurses that cared for Mike during his illness.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Oakey’s North Chapel, with Pastor Sonny Miller and Pastor Steve McSwain officiating. The entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Oakey’s North Chapel.

Jessie Lee Woods
Jessie Lee Woods, 102, of Sevierville, Tenn., died Sunday April 28, 2013, at Johns Island, S.C.  Born Jan. 30, 1911, he is a son of the late John Woods and Josie Parker Woods.  Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his wife Hattie Drum Woods on March 16, 2003.
He is survived by one daughter Doris Danowitz of Lake Helen, Fla., four grandchildren, Julie Johnston, Lori Johnson, Stan Ingold and Kevin Ingold.  He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Gabriel Johnston, Cade Johnson, Britton Johnson, Leah Ingold and Lawson Ingold.
Graveside services for Mr. Woods will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Floral Garden Memorial Park.  The family will greet friends following the service.
