LEXINGTON — Edith Louise Greer Beck, 87, of Lexington passed away Thursday May 8, 2014, at her home. A funeral service will be 4 p.m. Monday at Hedrick’s Grove Reformed United Church of Christ. Davidson Funeral Home is serving the family.
Edith L. Bodenheimer
HIGH POINT — Mrs. Edith L. Bodenheimer, 88, went to be with her Lord Thursday, May 8, 2014. Edith was born in Guilford County, March 8, 1926, a daughter of the late A. C. Lambeth and Mary Lee Lambeth.
She was a member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church, the Philathea Sunday School Class, the Welcome Circle and the Ledford Home Makers. Edith was a Hospice volunteer and she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion M. Bodenheimer.
Surviving are five nephews, one niece and a sister in law, Pat Lambeth. Graveside service will be held at Abbotts Creek Missionary Cemetery Monday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Mark Hollar and the Rev. Roy Cantrell. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be made at davisfuneralsandcremations.com.

JAMESTOWN — Walter Oliver Meredith, 82, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the Hospice Home at High Point. Service arrangements are incomplete at this time. Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel is assisting the Meredith family.
Ralph “Dale” Norris
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Ralph Daylon “Dale” Norris, 72, a resident of Thomasville, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at his residence. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home.
TRINITY — Clarence “Stan” Russell, 71, of Chet Drive, died May 9, 2014, at Randolph Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service on Monday.
HIGH POINT — Mr. Bobby Lloyd Weaver, 79, resident of High Point, died May 8, 2014, at High Point Regional Hospital. Mr. Weaver was born February 20,1935, in Guilford County, a son to the late Oris and Catherine Yockey Weaver. He lived in New Jersey a few years and had been a resident of this area most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Greyhound-Trailways Bus Station.
He also was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Bobby was a hard worker who sometimes worked 2 or 3 jobs to support his family. He loved to laugh and joke and always had a smile on his face. On May 1st, 1965 he married the former Dorothy Sternik who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are three children, Mark Weaver and wife, Mary Beth, of Columbia, Md., Cathy Weaver of Archdale and Scott Weaver and wife, Christina, of Greensboro; a brother, Jesse Weaver of Michigan; and four grandchildren, Zachary, Annmarie, Matthew and Emma.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Reverend Joseph C. Zuschmidt, O.S.F.S officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Private family interment will follow the service on Monday at Springfield Friends Meeting Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct. Glen Allen, Va. 23060. On-line condolences may be made through www.cumbyfuneral.com.
