Gladys Arnett
LEXINGTON — Gladys Anthony Arnett, 81, of Lexington, died Sunday, March 10, 2013. Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church on Village Drive. Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Roberts Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Howard Beck
WINSTON-SALEM — Howard Andrew Beck, 87, died March 13, 2013.  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Hebron United Church of Christ. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Hilda Coleman Moorefield
HIGH POINT — Hilda Coleman Moorefield, 90, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Piedmont Crossing. She was born in Rockingham County to the late James Walter and Eliza Jane Patterson Coleman. Hilda married Charles Earl Moorefield on May 22, 1945. She worked at Adam Millis in the office, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Conrad Memorial Baptist Church in High Point, and was a member of the Young at Heart. Hilda was preceded in death by her husband and her son Bruce Moorefield.  Hilda is survived by her son Kenneth Moorefield, a daughter Linda Heath and her  husband Daniel, one sister Mildred Sink, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Sechrest Funeral Chapel in Archdale, followed by burial in  Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

ARCHDALE — Judy White, 71, died March 14, 2013, at Hospice Home at High Point. Arrangements are pending at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.

Marcelene Garner Guyer
HIGH POINT — Marcelene Garner Guyer, 81,  passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Ashton Place Health Center in McLeansville with her family by her side. She was born in High Point on November 7, 1931, to the late Wm. Noah and Cora Lee Garner. She was a graduate of High Point High School in 1950, and received her two year Business Degree at High Point College. Marcelene married Ralph Dave Guyer Jr. on May 24, 1952. During her career she worked for, High Point Hospital, Bank of Fairbanks in Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Rebsaman Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Ark, Dr. Irving R. Stockton in New Bern, NC, and Amos Hill Veneer in High Point. She was a member of the Oakview Baptist Church and the Sunshine Class. She is preceded in death by her husband, her twin brother Carlton Van Garner, a brother Wm. Darrell Garner and a sister Donree Garner Brower.
Marcelene is survived by two sons, William Duane Guyer and wife Debra of Gibsonville, Carlton Brent Guyer and wife Martha of High Point, a grandson Daniel Zachary Guyer and a sister Judith Garner Snider and husband Sam.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013, 2 p.m. at Sechrest Funeral Chapel in High Point. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 16, 2013, 7-9 p.m. at Sechrest Funeral Services in High Point.

Leonard Hiatt
ASHEBORO — Mr. Leonard Gray Hiatt, 49, a resident of Asheboro, died Monday, March 11, 2013.
He was born June 1, 1963, in Henry County, Virginia, a son of Ronnie Ledford Hiatt and Mary Allen Hiatt. He was owner and operator of Piedmont Drain Cleaning in Asheboro.
He attended Central Carolina Community Church.
Surviving are his wife Lisa Goard Hiatt of Thomasville; a daughter, Janice Nicole Irene Hiatt of Asheboro; three sons, Justin Gray Hiatt of Thomasville, Ronnie Dale Hiatt of Asheboro and Brandon Wayne Hiatt of Thomasville; his mother, Mary A. Hiatt of Thomasville; a sister, Joyce Milliken and husband Robert of Trinity; a brother, Ricky Hickman of Thomasville; grandchildren, Emily Ann Hiatt, Gregory Hiatt, Megan Hiatt and Hayden Hiatt.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. in J.C. Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.

William Mingo
HIGH POINT – Mr. William P. Mingo, 50, of 1719 Oberlin Drive., died on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born in High Point, NC on July 12, 1962 to the late William Paul Clemons and Tynie M. Clemons. He was educated in the Guilford County School System where he graduated from High Point Central High School, Class of 1980.
He was employed by High Point Regional Hospital, Nash Jewelry and Loan, and in the manufacturing industry.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Tynie M. Clemons of the home; one brother, Dana (Vicki) Mingo of High Point, NC; two aunts, six uncles, one niece, two nephews, and one special great nephew.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at noon at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 903 E. Kearns Street, with Pastor Alphonso Martin officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. until noon. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park.
