Donald L. Cashion
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Donald L. Cashion, a resident of Thomasville died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012 in the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home.
Alice C. Foddrell
HIGH POINT- Mrs. Alice Foddrell, 102, died Friday Dec. 21, 2012 at Shannon Gray Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 15, 1910 to the late Noah and Hattie Kellam. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Foddrell, a daughter, Josephine, a sister, Creola Dalton, four brothers, Harrison, Tom, Jefferson and Ezra, and a grandson, Andrew Nilen Jr.
Alice in her loving, motherly way took care, fed, clothed, and counseled many neighborhood children. She leaves a legacy of loving, caring, and giving to all she met along the way. She was a servant of the people and gave too many without pay. She nurtured any child she met and they became one of her own.
Alice is survived by two daughters Louise Foddrell and Lorraine Flemming both of High Point, N.C.; two sons, Andrew Nilen and wife Betty of Ramseur, N.C. and John Foddrell and wife Vanessa of Greensboro, N.C.; four sisters,Clara Tatum of Walnut Cove, N.C., Anna Mae Zigler of Madison, N.C., Naomi Cross of Westbury, N.Y. and Rev. Hilda McMahand of Piedmont, S.C.; two brothers, Bishop Robert Kellam and wife Christine of Martinsville, Va. and Rev. William Kellam and wife Bernice of Stoneville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Cassandra Flemming of High Point, N.C., Loretta Foddrell of Greensboro, N.C., Dawn Nilen of Virginia, Robin Jones of Atlanta, Ga., and Princess Brown of Virginia, six great grandchildren, Danielle, Brandon, Niles, Mykayla, Parker, and Nila; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A special thanks to the entire staff and workers of Shannon Gray, Maxine Barber, the members of New Bethel Baptist Church, Williams Memorial CME Church, and Love and Faith Christian Fellowship.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro, N.C. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc., High Point, NC.

Anna Mae Hatfield
ARCHDALE — Anna Mae Hatfield - 68, loving daughter, mother, aunt and friend went home to be with the Lord on Sunday Dec. 23, 2012 at High Point Regional Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Ransom, Ky. to Willie and Martha Raines Hatfield 0n May 17, 1944. She spent the last years of her life taking care of her mother and father.
She was preceded in death by her father Willie Hatfield. Those left behind to mourn her passing include her mother, Martha Hatfield, of the home, her three daughters Martha New of McCarr, Ky. Kimberly Hatfield and Wilma (Jeff) Lankford of Trinity, N.C., two sons Terry (Adinah) Hatfield of Phelps, Ky. and Alan Hatfield of Belfry, Ky. She is also survived by five granddaughters, one grandson, five great-granddaughters, and two great grandsons, one sister, three brothers, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of loving family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service; 120 Trindale Road, Archdale, N.C., with Pastor Conard Hatfield of Yadkinville officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time.
The Family will also have a celebration of life at the Blackberry Community Center in Ransom, Ky. on Friday Dec. 28, 2012 to start at 4 p.m.
Charles “Quinzel” Lindsay
ASHEBORO — Charles “Quinzel” Lindsay entered eternal rest on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 in Asheboro, N.C. He was the youngest of Laura and Granson Lindsay. He entered the U.S. Army in 1968 and served in Vietnam; he retired in 1989.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen, two children, one grandson; two brothers, two sisters; eight nieces, eleven nephews and a host of dear friends.
Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at Phillips Funeral Services, 1810 Brockett Ave., High Point, N.C. at 10:30 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, N.C.
RANDLEMAN — Dorothy Nancy Russell Linthicum, age 90, of Randleman died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point. Dot was born May 21, 1922 in Mt Gilead, N.C., the daughter of Clee Harrison and Anna Parnell Russell. She grew up in High Point, where she was a member of Green Street Baptist Church, and moved to Randleman at the age of 15. Dot was a homemaker and spent many hours canning, preserving and freezing vegetables and fruits from the family gardens. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and doing crossword and word search puzzles. In addition to her parents, Dot is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Clarence Clinton Linthicum and her sisters Myrtle Buck, Viola Baker and Lena (Tiny) Nielsen and her brother, Eli Bunyon (Bunny) Russell.
Dot is survived by her son, Larry Linthicum of Archdale; daughter, Lynn Harris and her husband Bill of Randleman; granddaughters, Anna Hawks and her husband Chris of Randleman and Dorothy Harris of Raleigh; great grandchildren, Taylor Ritch of Chapel Hill and Leah Ritch of Randleman.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, N.C. The funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at 11 am at Sophia Baptist Church, 4082 Millikan Rd., Sophia with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.

GREENSBORO - Todd Clegg, 39, died on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday Jan. 13, at 3 p.m. at Moriah United Methodist Church. Cremation Services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.
Evelyn Lorraine Quinn Hatcher
WALLACE — Evelyn Lorraine Quinn Hatcher, 70, of Magnolia, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012.
Surviving is her son, John Quinn Cottle, Sr. of Trinity; daughter, Scarlett Lyn Hall of Salisbury; grandchildren, John Quinn Cottle, Jr. (Elaine), Angel Brooke Nicolodi, Tyler Jo Cottle and Katie Hall; great grandsons, Jaydon, Riley and Zayne Nicolodi.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with visitation one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens, Warsaw.
