Rachel Bayse
HIGH POINT — Mrs. Rachel Kennedy Bayse, 82, died Friday, June 28, 2013 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Mrs. Bayse was born Sept. 15, 1930 in Guilford County; a daughter of Delmar and Irene Byerly
Kennedy.  She was associated with Cloverleaf Super Market before retirement.  Rachel was a member of Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church and the Golden Rule Sunday School Class.  On July 4, 1949 she was married to Norman Bayse who survives of the home.
Also surviving are daughters Joyce Morton(Chris) of High Point, Darlene Lain (Chip) of Kernersville, and Norma Weaver (Brandon) of Archdale, sisters, Nancy Dowdy (Bill), Hazel Hale (Luke), Edith Parker, Delores Smith (Reggie), Brothers, Steve Kennedy (Fern), Mike Kennedy (Janet), and Garland Kennedy, Grandchildren Sharon Molinari, Jeff Morton, Katie Loman, John Lain, Patrick and Caleb Weaver.
Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church with Rev. James Capps officiating.  Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:20 p.m. at the church fellowship Hall.

Roger B. Black
KERNERSVILLE — Roger Barfield Black, 79, of Gateway Lane, died June 27, 2013, at Triad Rehabilitation Center following a three month illness.
A private service will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Tina Hawks.

Bettye Curtis
HIGH POINT — Funeral services for Bettye S. Curtis,  who died June 26, 2013, will be conducted at noon Monday at Forster Grove
Baptist Church.

Scott Dupree
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Scott Edward Dupree, 55, a resident of Thomasville, died Thursday afternoon, June 27, 2013 in the High Point Regional Cancer Center.  He was born February 15, 1958 in Summit, New Jersey, a son of the late Curt Dupree and Barbara Jean Hellman Dupree.
Scott was owner and operator of Bren 1 Record, and SCC Services.  Surviving are his daughter, Taylor Dupree and her mother, Lynne Dupree of High Point; sisters, Valerie Luedtke and husband Scott of Hanahan, S.C. and Sarah Millsap and husband Jack of Fortuna, California; a son, Todd Dupree and wife Machelle of High Point; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request any memorial contributions be directed to the High Point Cancer Center, P.O. Box HP-5, High Point, N.C. 27261.

Paula Fisher
KANNAPOLIS — Paula Carolyn Fisher, 51, died May 18, 2013.
There will be a private memorial service.  Cremation services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.

Eleanor Gaita
HIGH POINT — Eleanor Gaita, family of Ron and Dede Schue of Pine Valley Road, High Point, died June 27th at Gray Brier Nursing Home. 
She was born in 1917 and was 95.  Mrs. Gaita was the grandmother of Gabrelle Langan, Laura Schue and Todd Schue and had six great grandchildren.  Born in Harrisburg, PA she resided in Mt. Gretna, PA, Daytona Beach, FL and High Point, NC.    She was very active in the Presbyterian Church in Daytona Beach, creating and sewing holiday banners.
She was the widow of Fahrney Otto and Patrick Gaita.  Mrs. Gaita loved gardening; sewing, traveling and most of all had a wonderful sense of humor.  She was of the big band era and loved the popular music of her day.  She will be missed by her family and friends.  Arrangements by Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point.

John Hensley
GREENSBORO — John Malony Hensley, 66, died May 10, 2013.
There will be a private graveside service at Oklahoma City Cemetery. Cremation services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.

Elbert Hinson 
ARCHDALE — Elbert Hinson, 82, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Hospice Home at High Point. He was the loving husband of Annie Ruth (Duncan) Hinson, to whom he was married to for 62 wonderful years.
Mr. Hinson was born on September 21, 1930 in Columbus County, a son of the late George Lacy and Mattie Mae (Cribb) Hinson. For the last seven years he was employed with Pilot View Wood Work, Inc., and was a former employee of Curt Manufacturing as a machinist and shop foreman for 52 years.
He was a member of Friendly Baptist Church. Elbert was an avid gardener and loved all types of flowers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Greg Hinson of Trinity; a daughter, Debbie Hinson of Archdale; a grandson, Rusty McPherson and his wife, Lori of Staley; three great grandchildren, Haley Phillips, William McPherson, and Hannah McPherson, all of Staley; two brothers, E.T. Hinson and his wife, Ila, and Gene Hinson and his wife, Nancy, all of Whiteville; three sisters, Virgie McPherson and her husband, Hoyt, Janice Powell and her husband, Monty, and Ruby Hinson, all of Whiteville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2013 in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale with Rev. Tony Sluss and Rev. Tommy Harold officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.

THOMASVILLE — Robertha Michell Pugh, 43, of 412 Barnwell St., died June 25, 2013 at Thomasville Medical Center.
