John Blevins
LEXINGTON — John Wayne Blevins, 70, of Dacotah Street, died June 26, 2013, at his home. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel.

Terry Carlton
LEXINGTON — Terry Carlton, 43, died June 27, 2013. Cremation services entrusted to Triad Cremation Society & Chapel.

T.R. Kindley
SOPHIA — Thomas Ray “T.R.” Kindley, 58, of Sophia, died June 25, 2013. A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Randolph Memorial Park.

Reverend Carl Anderson Lain
HIGH POINT — Reverend Carl Anderson Lain, 102, died Tuesday at River Landing at Sandy Ridge. 
Born May 9, 1911, in High Point he is a son of the late Reverend Charles Anderson Lain and Bertha Albertson Lain. On August 3, 1929, he married the former Ruby Marie Ballard, who preceded him in death in 2005. He was associated with Hedgecock Lumber Company from 1947 until 1965 and served as President and General Manager of Hedgecock Lain Lumber Company in Lexington, NC until 1965.
In April of 1954 Reverend Lain was licensed as a minister by the United Methodist Church at Oak View United Methodist Church in High Point and was ordained as an elder at Lake Junaluska in June of 1962.  At that time he entered the ministry as a full time pastor.  Over the span of his career Reverend Lain served churches in Thomasville, Trinity, Lexington, Mocksville, Salisbury, Rockwell, Liberty and Julian, North Carolina.
Reverend Lain was active in the mission field serving on 12 week preaching missions in Panama, Colombia and Costa Rica in 1962 and 1965.  He was appointed as Team Leader of the United Methodist Building Team projects of Western North Carolina Conference for 23 years serving in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Jamaica, Costa Rica and Panama and was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the United Methodist Volunteers-In-Mission, Southeast Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church in 1986.
He was also very involved locally, He was a charter member serving the offices of Treasurer, Vice-President, President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for John Wesley Camp, an Interdenominational Camp Meeting located in High Point.  A refurbished dormitory was dedicated in honor of Lain’s 46 years of service in June of 1987.  He was a Master Mason of the Lexington Masonic Lodge #473 for 25 years, President of the Oak View Lions Club in High Point 1985-1986, Lion of the Year 1981-1982 and 1985-1986.
In addition to his wife and parents Reverend Lain was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Lain Jones, great granddaughter Karen Denise Nesbit and daughter in law Jeanette Lain.
He is survived by three children, Joyce Lain Nesbit and husband Charles of High Point, Bob Lain and Linda Brinkley of Cary and Jim Lain of High Point. Reverend Lain is also survived by grandchildren Gary Nesbit and wife Cheryl of Franklin, TN, Michael Nesbit and wife Angela of Mason, OH, Bobby Lain and wife Melinda of Indianapolis, IN, Donna Layne Cox and husband Dale of Cullowhee, Dawn Lain Humphrey and husband Richard of Jamestown, Dr. Brian Anderson Lain and wife Karen of Denton, TX and great grandchildren Carie Nesbit, Mark Nesbit, Michelle Nesbit, Caroline Nesbit, Tristan Lain, Dr. Holly Lain Humphrey and Dr. Hailly Humphrey.  He is also survived by a sister Ruth Lain Reavis of Colfax (River Landing at Sandy Ridge.)
Funeral services for Reverend Lain will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of High Point with the Reverend Fran Moran, Reverend C.B. Barr and Reverend Ray Broadwell officiating.  Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point.

HIGH POINT — Gracie Little, 55, of High Point died June 27, 2013, at High Point Regional UNC Health System.
