Mom arrested for throwing aerosol can at child
Davidson County Sheriff’s have arrested a woman after they say she hit her child in the head.
Tamara Cruz, 27, of 739 Conard Sowers Road, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and assault on a child under 12.
Deputies were called to the home Tuesday after receiving a report of a traumatic incident involving a 7-year-old child. They discovered the incident happened Monday at 10 a.m. and that mother threw an aerosol can at the child and hit him the head causing a cut, according to a police report.
When the mother refused to take the child to the doctor, Davidson County Child Protective Services was notified who then called the sheriff’s department.
Cruz is in the Davidson County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
