Pair arrested on drug charges
Thomasville police arrested a man and woman on several drug charges Wednesday.
Whitney Rochelle Whitaker, 25, and Michael Dewayne Crump, 25, both of 15-A Hobbs Ave., were charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sale and deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession with the intent to manufacture, sale and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Special Operations Division executed a search warrant Wednesday at 8:35 p.m. at the home because of the illegal sale of narcotics. Detectives seized 7.3 grams of cocaine, 36 individual bags of marijuana with a total weight of 29.9 grams, and drug paraphernalia.
Whitaker was a given a $50,000 secured bond while Crump was given a $100,000 secured bond. Both were placed in the Davidson County Jail and given a court date of Sept. 25. in Thomasville.
