The vice president of marketing for the High Point Market Authority is leaving her job to take a marketing position with a national design firm.
Cheminne Taylor-Smith will fill the newly created position of senior vice president of brand marketing with Tobi Fairley Associates. She starts with the Little Rock, Ark.-based design firm May 13.
Taylor-Smith will be responsible for overall brand strategy and management of the Tobi Fairley brand, including development of new products and services, marketing, public relations social media management and creation and support of live events and seminars.
“Cheminne’s unique talents and her award-winning work in marketing and branding for the High Point Market and other companies will be an integral part of the future growth of Tobi Fairley Associates, and for our clients,” said Tobi Fairley, president and chief executive officer of the firm.
Taylor-Smith, who joined the Market Authority in the summer of 2010, has an extensive background in media in the home furnishings field.
“What we will be building together will include some very new concepts for the interior design and home furnishings worlds. I’m looking forward to getting started,” Taylor-Smith said.
