Welcome to the new hpe.com
Welcome to the new hpe.com!
We are excited to provide our readers a new website. We hope you will find this website more modern, easier to navigate and packed with local news, sports, events, commentary and photographs. In the coming days, you will find that we post even more of our content on the website.
The site allows more space on the main page for stories, photographs and graphics, and you will see that we update these often. So keep coming back!
As you scroll down the page, you’ll find sections for news, sports, features, opinion and more. Click on the “View all” button to read more stories at the top of each section.
On the right side of the page you’ll find our Twitter feed (@hpenterprise), which includes tweets from our newsroom staff. We’ve been using Twitter for the last few months to help get breaking and useful news out to our followers.
With commenting under stories, polls, Twitter and more, we hope this new website will help our readers feel more connected to their hometown paper and website.
This is still a work in progress. We ask you to be patient with us over the next week or two as we complete the switch from our old website. We expect there will be a few kinks to work out. For one, the spot where readers can comment on stories is still a little glitchy. We’re trying to tackle that one fast because we value and enjoy readers’ feedback.
Also, our online archives aren’t here yet. But they’re coming. Until then, and maybe a while longer, our e-edition — a complete pdf of the paper — is available without charge. No need to register for access.
If you have any problems with the site, questions or comments, please let me know. email@example.com
