Police seek leads in weekend shooting

Detectives with the Thomasville Police Department are investigating a Sunday morning shooting that injured two people.
Officers responded to LJ’s Lounge, 120 B. W. Main St., at 2:39 a.m. after Davidson County Emergency Communications received calls reporting a person had been shot.
Police found one victim inside the club with a gunshot wound. They later were notified that a second gunshot victim was transported by friends to Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center. Both victims eventually were transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

“According to witnesses, the shooting occurred after numerous fights broke out inside the club,” said Detective Brad Saintsing.
One victim has been treated and released from the hospital, while the other currently is listed in stable condition.
