Man faces threat charge
A Trinity man accused of making threats on Facebook is scheduled for a District Court appearance today.
Randolph County sheriff’s deputies arrested Roger Chad Parrish, 29, of 476 Bescher Chapel Road after they investigated a report Tuesday from a concerned citizen who said a Facebook friend made some threatening statements.
Deputies said Parrish had made several Facebook posts that included the use of a weapon and he also referred to school shootings. Parrish is charged with misdemeanor communicating threats and felony false report of violence on educational property. Parrish was taken to the Randolph County Jail, where he was detained under a $100,000 secured bond. The investigation continues.
