Three killed in Lexington crash
Three people were killed and two injured in a fiery traffic crash in Lexington early Sunday.
Lexington Police Department officers were responding to an alarm call at a business on Central Avenue at 3:39 a.m. when they encountered a 2007 Chrysler Sebring four-door passenger car that had overturned and was in flames in the 300 block of Sink Inn Road, police said.
Three victims were found dead at the scene.
Police on Sunday said their investigation into the crash was ongoing and that the names of the victims were being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.
Two other occupants of the car were taken to Thomasville Medical Center for treatment of injuries. They were identified as Donchristopher Warren Roach, 23, of Beethoven Avenue, Lexington, and Kim Davis, 28, of Farmer Avenue, Lexington.
