Police charge Lexington man in 2009 sexual assault

High Point Police served warrants on a Lexington man in relation to an April 27, 2009, sexual assault in southeast High Point. 
Bobby Lee Gordon Jr., 38, of Lexington is charged with attempted murder, first degree sex offense, first degree kidnapping, attempted first degree rape and assault by strangulation.
The case from 2009 was connected to Gordon based on suspect descriptions provided in three recent investigations into indecent exposure. The case was re-opened based on that connection, and probable cause was developed to charge Gordon as the offender. Additionally, Gordon was charged in the following cases:
• Misdemeanor indecent exposure that occurred Oct. 11. 2012;
• One count of felony indecent exposure and one count of indecent liberties with a child on Nov. 23, 2012;
• One count of felony indecent exposure and one count of indecent liberties with a child on Nov. 30, 2012.
