3 charged in pepper-spraying 79-year-old woman

Police have arrested two women and one man in connection with the brutal pepper-spraying and robbery of a 79-year-old woman.
Jennifer Bennett, 29, and Shelley Sessom, 31, both of Thomasville, have been arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Bennett and Sessom are charged with pepper-spraying the 79-year-old victim and taking her purse on Monday at the Southgate shopping center in Thomasville.
High Point Police originally arrested the women on warrants from the Davidson  County Sheriff's Office, which then contacted detectives with Thomasville police about the women's connection with the robbery.
A warrant was issued for William Thomas Welch, 45, of Reidsville, for robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was arrested Friday.
