79-year-old woman pepper-sprayed for purse

Thomasville Police are looking for possibly three women who pepper-sprayed a 79-year-old woman before snatching her purse and driving away Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to the parking lot of Southgate Plaza shopping center on Randolph Street at 3 p.m. after getting calls of a robbery.
When they arrived, they found a 79-year-old woman had been pepper-sprayed in the eyes and face, according to the police report.
Witnesses described two or three white females driving in up a silver or gray sedan and attempted to take the elderly woman’s purse. When she refused, one of the females sprayed her in the face.
The woman was treated by Davidson County Emergency Medical services on the scene.
